He used three approaches, starting with CCPC (Company, Competition, Product Portfolio, and Customer), then moved on to the BCG matrix to identify which product to focus on. After narrowing down the product, the 4 P's of marketing were used to develop a strategy.

good effort guys. One question to improve the case: where is the competitor in this? What are they doing? especially in the categories where the Market Share of our client is so low....

Without knowing the market size / capacity for consumption for milk shake and other products how would it be possible to know whether these would support 8-10% growth strategy?

What do you think about the market share number significance? Is it indirectly telling the consumption and how much scope is there to focus.

First Problem is not how to reach 8%-10%...it is with whom to reach. So, our preference would be untapped market. That's why milk shake.

But how 10% benchmark? I mean how you are connecting numbers? I understood the reason to choose milkshake but how's the ultimate execution.

Metro cities are tier 1 cities. Why is he calling Tier 1 as non metro?

Metro means places like Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai etc. and tier 1 would be places like Pune, Ghaziabad.. sister cities to larger ones that are quite decently large themselves but are still kind of small.

@@AnshumanKumar007 According to GoI there are only three classifications X,Y and Z ie Tier1,2 and 3. And Pune is definitely tier 1 city.

I don't resonate with the family-driven argument. I mean, I get that 'nuclear setup' isn't still prevalent in the rural areas but nodding on saying that a milkshake bottle, which will hardly cost say between 50 rupees and 100 rupees will need the approval of the head of the family. The same is true for buying a car or a piece of furniture or deciding on the school for kids to study or who to vote for in the upcoming elections. Anyway, you're doing great!

Hi I had a doubt and I might be wrong so kindly do correct me for the same. How is the growth rate higher if the market share and revenue are lower than the superior products. In what context is growth being referred to here because two primary aspects of growth revenue and consumer acceptance is in favour of the superior ones, what does growth comprise?

Growth rate of the company is ~5% as stated because the data shows that 92% of their revenue is concentrated in beverage segments growing at 4%

It's a weighted average of revenue share and growth rate. Though lower share but bcz of high growth it will be 5..that's fine. Growth means yoy growth or CAGR growth in revenue.
