For some reason I’m not understanding the difference between a basic halo roll and this. Accept for the pivot part. I feel like I’m doing something wrong but I keep video taping myself and it looks right. I’m completely confused

Hello, I love these tutorials and I am learning a lot. It's especially helpful since I know no one else who's doing this, therefore it's difficult to find someone to talk to and practice with. Since I don't comment a lot I wanted to take the chance and ask a question, perhaps someone here can help me. After the turn, when the staff is on your left shoulder it just falls straight down in front of me so that I don't come to the neck wrap part . What am I doing wrong? Do I have to bring my left shoulder up and stall the staff between shoulder and neck?
