Nice mix of both cameras to capture the set up as well as giving different angles of the roll over and lift of the container. Scary that trucks can drive off without locking the container down.

VERY cool video!! Very cool that you and Alex both filmed it. Makes for some really good perspective. A little rough landing for the tractor but, at least it did not slam all the way over. I say job well done!! Take care and be safe out there!!

Awesome Recovery --- I enjoyed this one much more than the others. The Strain Gauges allowed precision control, and setting it down on the trailer again, was perfect. Loved being able to hear both operators AND having Alex filming also, beautiful .... just wish your helper aiding the Backup Tractor was also BT headset equipped. We could tell that the semi driver was a bit hesitant, he could not see what the trailer was going.

At least they were nice enough to forget all the locks so the container was completely off the chassis, so no worries about having one lock stuck. 🤣

I had a feeling you might say something about the tractor dropping kind of hard. I see TV coverage of tractor/trailer uprighting where they just let the whole thing slam down with no catch. I've always noticed how careful you are to use a catch even when the rig is already seriously damaged.

GOOD JOB , Pepe's. PRETRIP PRETRIP PRETRIP do them. Zip ties, plastic, stainless steel, or Stainless Steel safety wire(Harbor Freight has them cheap) around the safety catches and twist lock handles. If your chassis is missing one of the locks. On PRETRIP DO NOT USE TILL FIXED. If safety catch not Zip tied some styles of latches can vibrate to open. on older chassis. And some Acme Screw style. You beat with a hammer till tight.

I am curious, when the guy was digging down in the mud (on the front left corner of the box), why not use the upper strap already in place and lift the box slightly to be able attach the lower strap instead of making him dig the hole?

Now I'm not a truck driver but even a class D car driving person would know like just how important it is to make sure that your 5th wheel is secure - isn't just as important to make sure that the container you're hauling is secured to the chassis before moving said truck? Just a question worth asking from a car driver.

Yea not sure it the guy that was spiked to the tractor understood the "catch". No, most of the other "Heavy wrecker teams I watch, don't drop them that hard. Maybe there is an opportunity for some extended training for the other driver. Other than that it was another great video. Not sure how you can have missing safety latch on your hooks being in California. LOL.

I bet this guy will learn to slow down coming into a curve the next time. Got to admit when you righted the chassis, that wasn't a typical Pepe's smooooth rollover. Oh well, take one for the industry and make a video showing how THEY do it and then how YOU guys do it. Bottom line---you got it done safely. 😊

Some…. they all scare me the trucking industry in kalifornia has gone to crap, some “drivers” don’t know what a speed limit sign means, don’t know English, DONT CHECK THE LOAD LATCHS if & I say if I would go back to KALIFORNIA I wouldn’t go anywhere near the ports.

The driver took so damn long to back under the chassis man. You can tell that it must be an automatic truck and he's scared of it. You gotta be a little aggressive when dealing with that automatic when backing up a hill. If not the truck will keep moving forward. Or he could have just held that break anytime he felt uncomfortable, feed gas before release, to avoid the creep/lurch forward, and release the brake when the truck bucks up. Sad the original driver forgot the locks, but another incredible job by the guys! Thanks for the upload!

I love the video Josh, but the guy who was backing up the trailer at 35:00+ minute mark was annoying the heck out of me. Either he was a rookie driver, under the influence, or just a straight up idiot. All you gotta do, is BEEP BEEP back that ass up, come on lets go. We all want to get this job done and get home man, this BS is just unnecessary. I guess you got to have a lot of patience in the industry, but I fear that I share some traits with your father. Cause you know even he wouldn't have the patients for this, your father would have gotten into the truck himself and backed it up by now for him lol.

I would not call this a disaster A flood, tornadoes, hurricanes Train derailed spills Hazzard Materials. That's a disaster Not 1 container falls off chassis. If that's a disaster then Georgia Port has 2 or 3 A week .
