There was a dude in LA who built tiny houses for homeless funded by donations, but the politician saw it was solving the problem so they declared it dangerous for blocking the sidewalk and trashed all of it. Then they passed a bill for hundreds of millions of dollars to "solve" the homeless crisis.

I like these for mass emergency solutions for families displaced in areas where maybe they do not have viable evac locations. They could place these in safe zones for families to shelter while they clean-up, provide relief aid, re-build, or just to provide the community time to come together to heal. This would have helped with Hurricane Katrina. Which has still been a neglected area. The durability, cost effective and quick potability is amazing. Police HQ, military exercises and response, these have so many uses to help people.

People get here the wrong idea: It is intended as a rest / sleeping place after quick installation. The showers and rest rooms are located nearby and are publicly shared, you need to take a short walk over there.

It's a good idea for some homeless, who are capable of keeping some form of order, unlike the once who are in drugs and trashing everything. But yes this is a great idea. Those who are drug addicted perhaps could live in an area like this during treatment, but should not be let out till sober. Great concept.

While I have sympathy for the homeless, the problem isn't solved by making life easier for those people. The risk of creating more homeless people through misguided altruistic acts of kindness is very real. The solution is a long term one (a generation or more) and it requires governmental involvement.
