"Bigfoot Tiny House on Wheels is made from a 20ft High Cube shipping container. It has floors, walls, and roofs that fold out from both sides of the container to triple the size of the home from the size it travels down the road at. All of those components are made from Light-weight R-13 rated structural insulated panels or (SIP's). It has a 7.5 x 8ft fold-out front deck with a roof and railings over the tongue of the trailer."

Re:Container home that expands-"tiny house listings"- your beautiful expandible container home. My goodness, you have eptomized nearly everything I have dreamed of in a home. It is so very neat looking, easy to clean and all. I am 71, a widow and I raised 5 children. But always jokingly told my husband how much I would have appreciated a kitchen floor that flushed! What a concept! The kitchen catches everything, spills, food, muddy shoes etc.lol. At this time in my life what I'd give for a tiny home but that kind of spending is out of the question. I've seen seniors who are managing to build their own tiny houses or refurbishing travel trailers. I live vicariously through thru the marvelous things they have accomplished. Keep on keeping on. Just when thought no one else had my perfect plans and ideas. Only yours are perfect walls. I was thinking SIP panels. Everything I planned was incredibly spot on. The folding panels. The strong, lightweight, insulation, low draw on energy. Only I added telescoping turbine towers. Everything else was perfection. My dream became reality. Im so blown at how this happened. Wow, and Thank you for sharing and to further fuel to the inspiration. Blessings.

Getting back to history. Some of the RV's in the 50's, listed as the first "mobile homes," had full-side slides. The buyer could take a full-sized house with them wherever they went. They didn't last long because I believe the technology wasn't available then. Now we have it, and can potentially take a full-sized house with us. How cool!

Normally I'd be really critical about the unfinished bits you are talking about, but considering what's already built i really believe what you talk about as being possible. I've seen fold out container concepts but nothing in real life. This is VERY COOL!!

Would like to see it reshot once it's outfitted with those appliances and fixtures. Of course they're doing this to sell it. Seeing it outfitted also provides value to potential buyers.

This is really well-designed. The windows are genius. This deployable building could make an instant vacation home for an isolated rural location or multiples of these homes could be used to make a temporary village after a disaster or married student housing on a college campus. I would like to see power outlets in every wall except the bathroom, would like the sharp edges of the furo tub rounded for safety and would like some type of picture railing high up on the walls near the ceiling from which to suspend picture wires so art work could be placed on the walls. The left end of the kitchen counter that is next to the refrigerator looks the right size for a coffee machine, if you put a power outlet there. I would also like to see an option for pairs of XL twin-size murphy beds or fold-down bunk beds in each bedroom. Some ceiling hooks on the front porch ceiling from which to suspend lanterns or hanging plant baskets would be a nice touch. Please show the finished and furnished product when the structure is completed.

Revolutionary design...every detail is considered. It's a confluence of Tokyo-inspired space-saving design, Scandinavian utilitarianism, and commercial engineering. I've looked at thousands of RVs, container, tiny, modular and mobile homes and this is next level. It reminds me of the features of a Boeing-777 first-class cabin, but larger and with more expensive technology and some kind of Jetson-esque. I can't wait to see this finished product and real-world functionality. $87,000 is a reasonable price. Very well thought out: impressive.

How much? To be able to, simply, live in a closet-style home? With nothing but regular Common Sense, Logic & Reasoning applied to building it with 'your $money's$ worth' honestly put into it durability/functionality? Hmmmm? I would say the maximium, TOTALLY HONEST permissible charge for such an item would be no more than $26,000 U.S.D.. Unless, of course - all this expressed as in-genius talk about it in this article, is not being focused on streamlining the absolute best/lowest $cost$ in mass-purchasing the particular part's & materials for same - You want a few idiots/'fool's and their $money$ that is soon to be departed' with plenty of $money$ to 'burn' to pay for the development-'prototype' demo model's, first? - Great! Contact the rest of us/repost another article on UTube about it when you get past all that B.S. - and get the charging $price$ down to a reality level for us 'non-idiot'/'non-foolish type's' - that can not afford to play an expensive 'test-the-prototype-model' game with many 'up & coming' one's like you!

This idea would be GREAT in areas that are subject to bad flooding every few years. If you knew one of those devastating "once every fifty years" storms was coming you could just rent a good towing vehicle, fold up the house and move it up to higher ground. You would lose all your landscaping, but your house and furniture would be fine. Once the area dried out, you just have the house moved back. Think of the insurance savings! Insurance companies would LOVE this concept!

The best solution is to know your once in 1000 year flood and just install a pad higher than that level, i.e. add fill so the house is above the flood level. Who wants to dismantle and reassemble it "just in case." I have a property on a flood plain and know this height. Nothing gets wet even on bad flood years.

Great concept my opinion price should be under $59 per square foot with shipping door to door. I understand why the price is $200 per square foot. With all the upgrades. Issues with this unit is trying to get permits for foundation set up. Factor in a $20K fee to Redco that is 3rd party inspection company for the State of California. To get this unit certified for your building permit for foundation set up. Custom trailer is the way to go but factor in the cost of a trailer and DOT requirements with registration. Next factor in cost to get out of US Customs and hire a freight forward company for delivery to your location to assemble. Also, the cost of a set up crew to take the unit out of the shipping Container with forklift or crane depending on location. Great video and appreciate the time and effort of such videos.
