Great video as ever Raul, I really enjoy your container VLOG's. It looks like you had a bit of a frustrating day with lot's of sitting around, a lot like my week as a courier. I agree the British countryside is just beautiful, being out and about and going new places is the best thing about working in transport imo, sure beats looking at a computer screen in an office. Spring is almost here then it will be even more glorious! I'm sorry they gave you a MAN and not the Scania like last time. Looking forward to your next VLOG 👍.

Haha, I drive a 18 tonne MAN! Along with: the schizophrenic gearbox, the turning circle of a cruise ship, the massive mirror blinds pots, the huge steering wheel off the Mary Celeste; I find I keep accidentally pressing all the buttons on the wheel when I'm manoeuvring! 😅

@Raul6893 жыл бұрын
To be honest i never bother where o put the 20ft. Don't think it makes that much of a difference. Altho in position 4 the trailer is a bit more easier to reverse

Do you have to weigh out of the container terminals and do they give you the delivery paperwork or does that directly sent to the transport company via email then to driver. There must be mountains of paperwork and wonder how freight terminals deal with the 1000s of boxes they handle everyday
@Raul6893 жыл бұрын
It's all online now. The containers get weight only on entry in each port of the world so you already know how heavy they are. No paperwork from the docks It's all online. We just have one delivery note for the costumers to sign and thats it 👍

Hi Raul,great vlog love you'r joke two old fellas each end road checking speed especially with walkie talkies 😂. 👌 I see you don't give seal to customer, back in 1980/90s drivers not allowed to remove seals someone from firm took them off in case of load not correct.

Some costumers want to check the seal themselves but usualy they tell you to not open the doors. Just depends on the costumer i guess. Thanks John

Some small villages with a main road through them the residents complain to their parish council about speeding traffic so the police gives them a speed camera its not there's to keep it goes to other council though out Kent you don't know when they will be there. It's usually a three off them (local residents) they taking down regs you then get letter from the police no fine no points just a warning the next village along us Brasted gets one my wife has had two letters
@Raul6893 жыл бұрын
So i guess if you are reported to many times you will finally get fined?

When you get into that port in Liverpool and join the queue, how do you get called from the queue to the lane for unload and reload ? How do you know when it’s your turn
@Raul6893 жыл бұрын
It's a first come first served basis. You have to figure out where is the end of the que. If not sure just ask. And then when it's your turn just go to an empty pay. Or "pad" how they call them

20:35 It's just a bunch of old people who are bored with their life so they spend most of the day stood in the same spot holding up a speed camera and writing number plates down on a notepad. They can't issue any fines, the most they can do is pass your numberplate and the speed onto the police who can only give you "words of advice". This is because the speed that's displayed on their speed guns cannot be used as evidence of speed due to the fact they don't calibrate their speed guns and don't have a calibration certificate. There's a village not far from me where there's always 3 old people stood about pointing speed guns at people. They've got nothing better to do with their life than to waste it standing outside all day everyday. What makes it even sad is the fact they stand on a road that's short distance and connects two roundabouts so speeding is impossible.
