We are told we are all unique, no 2 of us are the same. With all the people on the earth I find this amazing- not that I am expecting there is someone exactly like me out there somewhere, but that’s a lot of different people you come across in your lifetime that you will never understand and amazingly they are sometimes those you feel you should be closest to. I have two grown boys who I don’t understand, never have and I expect never will. I worry for their future as it’s not as secure as I believe mine became after a lot of hard work. I constantly remind myself this doesn’t mean they are wrong and I am right as they are growing up in a different time to me. I continue to say to myself a small rhyme..,, be there to support, be there to love but never ever be there to judge Your contemplations will eventually get you to a place you are comfortable - I wish you well in your journey and it’s wonderful that you are doing it 🌻

Good question, I think I can help- Being nice leans more towards being a "people pleaser", a yes man (or women)...it has the tendency to be naive at times. Being kind leans more toward not stepping on others toes; being considerate of others needs and feelings. Notice, being kind is wiser because you are also aware of the tactics and devices in people's hearts and mind. Here..words are meant to paint pictures, so I will paint one for you. When you tried to help the hoarder, think of it like this ...picture you living in a box, pitch black for years and then someone comes inside and shines a bright light in your face--what is the first thing you will do? You would throw your hands over your eyes and say, "CUT THAT DAMN LIGHT OFF!!!", why?..because it hurt your eyes! That's what you did to her. You shined a bright light in her face and irritated her. Understand she had a entity attached to her that won't let her go easily. Another picture .. Think of a pig rolling around in mud and you see filth so you clean the pig and guess what? The pig looks at you and says, " what you do that for???" Why because that is in a pig nature; it likes things muddy. Side note / you can't care for someone more than they care for themselves. OK now it's storytime..STORYTIME!!! Lol There once was a man on a boat. The man looks down and sees two fish and says in a loud voice, " Hey!! How's the water? And the two fish look at each other and say, " what the hell is water?". Think about that for a minute...the moral of the story is...the thing that is is most obvious is usually the very thing that evades us. ...if you find the answer in regards to the problems in your life, the key will appear in your hand.

Thank you Leah for your honesty and sincerity . I deeply appreciate your authenticity. I’ve participated in your Tai Chai for close to two years or so . My first time to do so upon recommendation from my Chinese primary physician. She seems to have a more holistic approach. This was related to my back issue and diagnosis that’s affected my life for years . I’m 72 years old and so I use your basic videos . Not a cure all, but it’s been a journey of sorts to a partial healing in ways and a very calm , peaceful and gentle ( like you my teacher ) way to be a movement (s) toward managing my physical and mental health and well-being . Thank you Leah for being the kind and compassionate soul and instructor and for being there for myself and all your students . Please take care and peace be with you as you journey in the light . May all be well for you Leah , and your family , friends and community..🌈🙏☀️ From Texas , David

Being Nice vs Being Kind. I might be misinterpreting the words, however in my little universe, Being Nice is more on the surface. Being Kind goes deeper. I am giving something of myself. I care about the other person. Also, it is good to stake your boundaries right in the open and early on. People will like you for it. They will appreciate to know where your boundaries are and to be able to respect them. The people who are offended by that, are not in for a deeper relationship anyway. Well, that is how things work in my little universe : ) Also, Leia, you are the Kindest person I know. Your videos are a Safe Haven for me. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Take good Care

@@Marc-oe1hg thank you 🙏 I will contemplate this. Maybe my next video will be about boundaries. I have heard that we need to set them early but I guess this need to be nice makes me feel guilty for saying no to something. I appreciate your input. ☮️💗

@@Taiflow I think, if we care for someone, we need to be able to say no if we feel or think differently. This can be hard and feel like not being nice. But at the same time, we are able to say no because we care for the other and we are being kind, and this sometimes makes saying no the right thing to do. Saying no in order to set our boundaries, is being true to ourselves. And I believe, only if I am true to myself am I able to give and be kind to others. ☮

Wow. I feel you and your inner pain. Since covid (2020), i have not seen my daughter, son or grandchildren. We had a "falling out" that has not been repaired. Then my Dad passed away in 2023. Through cleaning out his estate, we hoped that things would get better. It did for a moment, but my daughter expected more than she was given. Things broke again. Now i am trying to make peace within myself to journey on with my husband. Making what life we have left the best that we can make it for ourselves. We don't holiday with the kids because of their unthankfulness that a gift, no matter the size or price, is given from the heart. We don't chat with the grandkids since they have learned that it is okay to put their elders down and be disrespectful. My husband and i are living young!!! Enjoying life!! The kids will unfortunately reap what they have sown when we are gone. They pushed us away, they won't inherit anything from us as a result. I hope your story doesn't end like ours, but remember, only you can take care of you. You are number 1!!!

@@MissJenni_ISO no matter what we must cultivate kindness to others even those who hurt us. We don’t have to be nice to them but we must always be kind. Cultivating kind thoughts for our children no matter how they treated us leaves the door open for them to circle back around. Everything is just for a season and people can change. I don’t have any expectations but I will leave the door ajar. I don’t have to be nice but as their mother I feel it is implant that I am always kind in my attitude toward them. I once heard that parents want their children to thank them and children want their parents to understand them. I have a lot of compassion for my children. I can walk in their shoes so I will always have love even if we never see each other again. Of course be kind to yourself and most importantly have fun. Thanks for sharing 💗🙏☮️

Armenia is beautiful. I went through the nice versus kind in 2005 and I learnt a lot. It put me on a path of maturity, but to me, it was about people, situations, evil always being nice when they want something. We can be kind yes, but we are not to give into the deceptive nice that uses, abuses and is hurtful, harmful and list goes on. I was not given tough love but given something else, the ones that claimed tough love in our nation, was using it as an excuse to abuse us while robbing us..and the ones proclaiming it were justified in using it while we went through some of the worst abuse, and were treated like I and we were public enemy number one, and along with inhumane. I was given something else which is better and leads to maturity and I am grateful even though my soul still cries because of how we were treated from the not nice and tough love even while we were going through some of the worst disasters. I and we are still processing and the world was silent to us and continues to isolate us. But in the isolation we mature and become free.

Don't try to change people (or "help" people}. Live and let live. Don't think of yourself as superior to other people, just as you wouldn't want other people to treat you as inferior to them. Just accept people for what they are and live your own life and let them live theirs.

@@c2rail ok I agree with this but to keep to the topic this is how you see the difference between nice and kind? Wanting to help someone is being nice while letting them live as they wish is kind?
