Tone is a subjective thing in my opinion. If it is a blog, you should write the way you normally talk/write because people will always connect to the writer. If you are writing for SEO, you have to follow that particular company/website's nature. Imagine if you are writing content for pet accessory website, you can write funny and cool piece but you can not write in same way for an IVF clinic.

Some of the things are wrong in the video, overall it was good. Even Bing shows SEO error on using multiple H1 tags, it is important to use Heading tags necessary for SEO and they affect SERP. So Use Heading Tags properly, they do affect SEO.

And what to do if the content ranked in the top 10 searches are more than 3k words?
