Thank you for uploading more of your videos. I’m glad you gave this creek another go. Real cool to share your patches! My kiddo was surprised to see that there are more ‘treasures’ to be found in the creek. It made him share with me that he found a football in Bass Lake one time when canoeing.

Next 'treasurer' (Friend of Wilson) that is in good shape - definitely come to you. Never know when I'll find them but definitely coming your way.

@@EdwardsOutdoorAdventures some of my favourite memories were paddling up that way 😄 I’m from the Edinburgh area originally but the Trossachs and Highlands were never too far away with some phenomenal paddling and camping spots

@@robdoo I did not get to paddle during my trip to Scotland, but the rivers did turn my head - except when the bridge was one-lane and traffic was coming.

You sure love the blockages. I didn't know the creek meandered so much till I looked at satellite view, Glad you had so nice weather.

Germany has a disturbed relationship with flags. I found out during the soccer Eurocup that the German flag with the eagle is reserved for official business only and regular Germans are not allowed to fly it. But I won’t tell if you won’t😂.
@EdwardsOutdoorAdventures9 күн бұрын
HPN-h7l, I did not know this detail about the German flag. I do know who you are from your KZbin UserID - but I lived in Germany for three (3) year and have visited a number of time. But, this was a education item. I do not know if I will make it back to Germany with my job. I will change the patch but would only do this with a patch bought during a visit (not just Amazon). So - let's not tell.

Holy smokes!!! I'm only 3 minutes into the video, and you've convinced me to never ever ever canoe Contentnea Creek. It looks like you spend more time climbing over logs than you do canoeing!
@sam11749 күн бұрын
OK... after watching the rest of the video it doesn't look so bad once you got past Stantonsburg. After Hurricane Floyd, Contentnea Creek was ABOVE the highway 222 bridge. I know this because I drove through the flood waters in my Jeep. My kids lived in Stantonsburg at the time and I had to drive through the flood to pick them up. The water was above the bridge for at least two weeks, but it was only about a foot deep at the deepest spot, which my Jeep was able to handle. They had barricades up on 222, but I drove around them.
