Hi Rob. Hope you are well. Thank you for introducing me to this contest. Affinity has a great cover and back. I’ve never seen that Clannad album. Fiona Apple has an album with a really long title.

Nice entry Rob, I haven't heard any of the records you showed apart from Ziggy. I only have a very cursory acquaintance with Clannad, I need to delve back into their catalogue.

That first Clannad is superb..but then I love progressive folk..I'd love their 2nd album too, but it's quite scarce and expensive..I have most of their later 70s and 80s output up until Macalla which is 1985. Cheers James.

Hi Rob , was just thinking about the Affinity album this week as Mo Foster died and I have a number of his solo albums . I ‘ve never actually heard the album so will have a listen . Early Clannad also passed me by so thanks for your recommendation

Hi Graham The Affinity is a decent listen, the Repertoire reissue is really cheap on Amazon too. Clannads' debut is wonderful.

Hi Rob, Nice entry. I've often wondered about that Affinity album. I wonder if it is my cup of tea. Nice choice for your short album title. As for Richards bonus question... I'm wondering if the answer is more cryptic than that. It's probably the result of an equation that you get if you divide the amount of 45s he has with the remaining record free space in cubic centimeters of his spare bedroom... it's bound to be something like that. Always good to see Clannad on display. Weirdly, and I don't think I'll ever understand Irish pronunciations, Máire Brennan's first name is produced Moya. Go figure! I think she is cruelly overlooked when people put together lists of the greatest voices in music. The lists always lean towards the soul singers, as they're more flashy and in vogue. Whereas folk voices are poorly represented, beyond Sandy Denny...And I suspect she's only included because she sang with Led Zeppelin.

Hi Rob, I was familiar with most of those especially through watching VC videos and people showing e.g. affinity album. How strange ABBA copied the helicopter/Arrival title surely a coincidence. I will message you later re: potential VC UK meet up, cheers, Martin.
