Continental on the front of my car, even when they had worn I still experienced fantastic grip with them in the wet. Unbelievable tyre.

Yes they wear well when it comes to wet traction, one of the best things I like about them.

Ordered Michelin CrossClimate2 for my 2017 RX350 F-Sport 3. I have the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive. which have some of the issues that the Continental tires. Very heavy tires and very sloppy. The sidewalls flex a lot so I am really hoping Michelin will do its magic as I have never had a bad experience with a Michelin tire.

Crossclimate 2 will provide you a more firmer ride.

I'm curious how do you get to these conclusion about these two tires? Do you have any data related to the wet braking or stability? Any data for snow traction or braking, or on dry? Or all of these, are just personal / subjective impressions?
@comparethetire3 күн бұрын
No only noise and comfort is subjective. The steering responsiveness is judged through slalom tests, while overall handling through lap times.

No mention of dry low temperature (7c and below) breaking distances which is the most common driving condition in Northern climates.
@comparethetireАй бұрын
We have taken this variable into account. Both tires have thermally adaptive rubber compounds by the way... so the results pretty much remain the same.

Great review comparing these two tires! Thank you! I need to buy tires for 2015 subaru outback. I live In a place that Has snow December through early March but is plowed well. There is rain March, April and August. And is very hot in late June July, August, and sime of December. From what you said it seems like the Mitchell would be the better tire overall. Are there any others that might be a good choice? If you were to choose from the mitcheland continental you reviewed which would you choose for an outback?
@comparethetire18 күн бұрын
Thank you. These are grand touring tires, you need those in suv touring category. And considering that, I would suggest you check out Pirelli Scorpion Weatheractive (not Cinturato) and Continental Crosscontact LX.

Hi! Thank you for your detailed presentation of the all season tires of Michelin and Continental. They are both in the same price category, at least in Western Europe. My tire shop also suggested the Goodyear Vector 4seasons Gen 3, which is somewhat more expensive and the cheaper Uniroyal All Season Expert 2. Can I have your opinion regarding this offer, please. Thank you in advance.
@comparethetireАй бұрын
Well Vector is vert expensive, sure, but it is for a reason, the Uniroyal can't give as much traction as them especially on wet roads.

How 'bout add the DWS 06 to the comparison?

Its actually an ultra high performace AS tire, so its better to compare it with others in its category, like the Michelin Pilot All Season 4.

Hello and thanks for video. Which of them has the most summer feeling behaviour?
@comparethetire2 ай бұрын
The Michelin CrossClimate 2 tends to perform better in summer conditions due to its superior dry traction capabilities (in particular). Plus its rubber is also more thermally adaptive.

@comparethetire2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! AllSeasonContact 2 isn’t available in the USA yet, but I can help you find a good alternative. What vehicle do you drive, and what kind of weather do you usually face?
@ralstm12 ай бұрын
@@comparethetire I drive a Tesla model Y in New England. The CrossClimate 2 is tempting, but I hear that the tire is narrower than the rim. The Tesla already is too prone to curb rash, and this would make it worse, I think. I am also concerned about road noise from the thick tread blocks. The tread pattern on the Continental looks like it would be less noisy than the Michelin. I have watched about 20 tire videos, between youtube and TireRack. The other tires I was considering include Vredestein Quatrac Pro and the newer Hankook EV tires. I would prefer to avoid swapping tires in the spring and fall. I am retired, so if weather is really bad, I can stay home and wait it out. Any advice would be appreciated.
