Thanks! I really enjoyed your entire trail series. You earned these few extra coins for all the effort you put into this compilation of your notes, pictures and video. Thanks again.

Your terminus vlog has to be one of if not the best one I’ve watched for any trail. Your narration, camera face time, scenery and especially the wildlife along the way were well balanced and just epic in every way imaginable. I knew you got engaged and I believe are married now you stated in, I think, your gear review vlog, but I had no idea your engagement took place at the terminus. That truly was epic; Kid is the man and now the husband too! Congratulations on completing the CDT, on your engagement and your marriage. Congratulations to Kid on his completion of the Triple Crown. I loved the background comment, “You can’t have a King without a Queen” or words to that effect! Now you’re going to have to come back to Glacier NP frequently to celebrate so many occasions. How terrible 😂! Good luck in your future endeavors. You really do a very nice job with your vlogs. They are as good as some KZbinrs out there who don’t do their own editing. I won’t mention names but you really are that good. I detected some self-doubt early in your hike as you dealt with the heat and dry conditions, nasty water, etc, but I only observed self-assurance later in your hike as you worked through all of the challenges. Props to you for sure; it was an outstanding effort. That’s coming from a retired Marine Officer who spent almost 29 years in the Corps. You really grew through this hike. Take care.

Thank you so much, truly! What a thoughtful and sincere comment. I so appreciate you noticing the changes in myself that, honestly, I'm not sure I really noticed until I took the time to edit these videos and reflect. The CDT definitely made me tougher and more self-confident. I also still feel like I have a lot to learn as far as videos and editing, so thank you so much for the support in that area as well. We aren't married yet (we took some time to get settled after trail before diving into wedding planning), but I like the idea of coming back to Glacier to celebrate, maybe we'll have to have the ceremony there. Thank you so much again!

@@eliseott oh, I jumped the gun regarding your marriage. Yes, definitely there is quite a bit of planning involved. My daughter and son are both married now so I am familiar with how much planning goes into a wedding. Good luck with all of that. Thanks again for sharing your journey.

Thanks SOS. What an amazing terminus video. I knew what was coming, and it still got me- I may have shed a tear. Watching this video, I just kept wondering, looking at Kid’s face, knowing he had that ring with him, like “what is going through his mind right now ? What emotions is he feeling?”. It was a really beautiful moment to watch unfold over those last few days. And your surprise and joyful reaction was perfection. So happy for you two. Thanks again. Peace and happy trails to you and Kid.

I have loved following along on this journey. I knew of Josh’s previous hiking adventures and it has been so fun watching you experience every mile, climb, etc. Thanks for brining me a lot of entertainment and joy, and planting some seeds that maybe I want to try a section of the CDT at some point (perhaps Glacier or New Mexico).

I worked at the Two Medicine store for a summer in 2012. It was an amazing summer - lived in the dorms next to the Great Lodge, hiked, rafted, saw so much beautiful land and wildlife, and made life-long friends. I would do it again if I could afford the paycut, haha

Did you switch tents mid trail? If so, why? Did hail or weather have a factor in that decision? I ask bc I’m kinda worried about my dcf tent with hail
@eliseott Жыл бұрын
We did pick up a new tent but it was well after half way I think. That tent had probably 5,000 miles on it and I think the seam taping was starting to fail. I think it was honestly just used to the end of it's life, personally, I wouldn't worry and I would carry a DCF tent again! We only replaced it with a non-DCF one because we borrowed it and didn't want to buy a new one.

Cool thanks for responding! So sad the next video is the last of the series. I enjoyed watching them and I hope you continue to make them with your next trail!
