First of all thanks for this content. I was looking for a good lever for my scram. Just wanted to ask one thing. There is a small sensor inside the clutch socket whose function is to not start the bike if it is in gear unless you engage the clutch. I hope it is same for your GT. I used a cheap lever earlier which was not compatible with that sensor and i had to put my bike in neutral everytime just to start the bike. Subsequently i had to make a direct connection and disable that sensor. So do this lever compatible with that sensor. Does your bike start even if it is in gear.
@AvishekLama Жыл бұрын
Yes it does also these levers are from a well know British custom motorcycle company. So the fit and finish is top notch
@mannasouvik Жыл бұрын
@@AvishekLama I wanted to be sure about it. I asked the seller they said they are not sure about the sensor and also the levers are same for GT, Scram, Himalayan and Conti.

Don't use so much grease on handlebars. No decent mechanics use solid grease for handlebar levers anymore. Most use spray lubes. I think the RE service centre just uses the chain lube on most pivot joints.

What colour is your gt650?

Grease is grease, I am a mechanical engineer and I say it’s fine. Any part other than engine internals do not need any specialised lubricants, you can also use Navratna tel or parachute coconut oil for brake levers.😂
@VarunBhargavan4 ай бұрын
@@AnubisTheSonOfRa It is not about specialized grease, but more about ease of maintenance. It is easier to clean and reapply spray on lubricants than thick grease. It is more about convenience and necessity.
@AnubisTheSonOfRa4 ай бұрын
@@VarunBhargavan you know that spray lubes lose more than 80% of their effectiveness after one wash or an hour of commute in rain right? This grease is more resilient, it will stay on the lever hinges for months or even years. Where are you even getting your info?! Most garages and service centres use preused engine oil to lube chains, and thick grease for front and rear brake lever and clutch lever hinge, they also use preused engine oil in a manual pump can to use on other things like kick stands and clutch cables, and only the service centres of premium motorcycles like RE, KTM, Triumph, they use spray lube on chains and clutch cables but even luxury motorcycle service centres will use thick grease on brake lever hinge.

Hey man lovely content, keep it coming. Does installing these levers void warranty in any way? Also there are few people saying this is gonna affect the abs performance although I don't see any reason for it to. Would love to hear your thoughts on the same.
@AvishekLama2 жыл бұрын
No bro I don’t think so it will void the warranty also I haven’t faced any issues with the abs . Works perfectly fine.
