I've listened to this for over 10 years and it still give me goosebumps.. Love to watch people hear it for the first time.. That ending verse is just... CHILLS!

It's crazy to think this was the least prepared or planned performance, their voices match perfectly and Jotta let her do the main vocal line while he was doing all sorts of improvised accompaniments. Superb reaction as always Fil, you are my favorite reactor of all, to me you already passed the "reactor" title, became some sort of life guru haha.

The "unplanned" idea is a bit of an urban legend, imo. Consider the lyrics, harmonies, timing, band, backup singers, camera work, mixing.... That doesn't all come together this seamlessly without some serious preparation. The singers themselves were barely looking at each other during the performance, something they would be doing almost constantly if they were "improvising". I give that "impromptu" narrative about a 1% chance of being true. This was a fabulous performance of a terrific arrangement. Not something that "just happens" by itself.

@@jplant1414 Let me explain how it happened. This song was the first song that candidate Michely sang in the competition, on the first day of the competition. There are the band, the musicians and she had an arrangement prepared, scores and everything. The improvisation is a duet between the two singers. The presenter proposed that they (Jotta and Michely) sing something during the program. (This moment happened at the end of the program, after the judges had deliberated and other candidates had already been eliminated). So they agreed in a few seconds what each one would sing and, without rehearsing, gave this spectacular performance.
