The government is gearing up for a packed King's Speech with at least 30 new bills, focusing on housebuilding, green energy, crime, and voter registration.
Labour ministers have crafted a busy legislative agenda aimed at delivering on the party's manifesto promises.
Set for delivery by King Charles at the state opening of parliament, the speech will likely feature a democracy bill for automatic voter registration and potentially lowering the voting age to 16.
Plans also include boosting housebuilding, devolving powers over energy, transport, skills, and planning to local mayors and councils, and reinstating cancelled bus routes with affordable fares.
