floor height 4 M. Floor has to support LL of 5 KN/sq.m. Design a continuous beam B10-B11. The beam has to suppor 230 mm thick wall having unit weight of 20 KN/m in addition to loads from slab& its self weight. Use 20 % mo.nent redistribution. Adopt M20 & Fe415 materials. Design the beam with all necessary chec Aldetil ie section. How can I solve this type of problem plz help me.

How do take x1= (a+L1)/3 & x2 = (b+L1)/3? Shouldn't they be x1 = a+(L1/3)? x2 = b - (L2/3) ?

consider a=b=(L/2), your X1 and X2 doesn't give the required solution(which should be L/2).
