Thank god! I have just bought another one of these as the memory of the time one got stuck in my hair and it was a whole scissors, random hacking of hair to try and remove it...had receded. And I was plucking up courage to have another go. I would never have thought of doing it like this. It would be a repeat of the great tangle and tears of 2010 if i hadn't watched this! Thank you Beverly xx

Hey! I use these as well, when I use them too long they get stretched out! Do you have any tips how to shrink them back to natural size?!

I believe that you use very hot water to shrink them back to size, well that is what i do for my hair coil bands but they do have the same texture of it but you can try :3

Hi! I used to wear these in highschool. I have a mass amount of super curly hair that's hard to control or stay in place...so I lived on these. They would stretch out pretty fast, so instead of constantly replacing them, I started to cut the excess X's off and attach them by interlocking them. If you cut the part that is stretched out, there is no longer a "catch" to clip the two ends...so I would just zig zaw the edges. It would work really well and it actually makes for a tighter grip if you have a mass amount of hair. I was recently wearing my hair that way again and researched these to see if they are still being worn and came across your question. It's the same issue I have and you reminded me. You can also use this accordion headband to lock your hair in then put a knotted bandana or fabric headband over it so it doesn't slip or move around. 💫

I put one of these in with my "pineapple" to hold up all the baby hairs and I attach it in front. I DO know it's supposed to be attached at the nape but since I use this at night, attaching it in front is easier.

Where can you purchase these? Not finding them in any search. Thanks!

Scunci makes them - they come as a set of 3 and are called stretch combs. I found some at Target but lots of stores carry the brand. I love them for putting my hair back for a shower or bath - they work so well for A-line cuts!
