Scout House Contra Dance, Concord, Massachusetts. A mythic place for me. I love the demographic; median age has to at least 20 years younger than what I'm used to. Best Wishes All - lucky me to have danced twice to Nils' calling & bone at our local Lava Meltdown. A community contra dance that our Pocatello, Idaho dance could aspire to . . .

Teri & I just spent last week at a week long music & dance camp in northern Idaho that features contra-dance, with live music, like in this video. The video is from Concord, Massachusetts at a dance held at the Concord Girl Scout House, and which T & I visited in 2013. One of the fathers of contra dance, Ted Sanella in the 1970s, called dances at the Scout House , & wrote a contra dance, the "Scout House Reel", which I always call at a dance.
