Hi everyone thanks for watching while not the best Contra Force is still pretty enjoyable once you get the hang of it. Doing this run was no easy task been working on it since January but think it turned out well.

The one game that almost resulted in Contra III being localized as Contra IV (which would've resulted in the DS game being V)... amusingly enough, later games actually acknowledge Force in various ways - III and IV both have stages that take place in the streets of "Neo City" (same name as the city in Force), and the character select screen in Contra ReBirth plays an arranged version of a track from Force... there's probably more Force references I'm glossing over, but that's all I know right off hand.

From what I hear Operation C was supposed to be the third Contra game and that's why Contra III was almost IV. This game came out well after Contra III so I doubt it was the reason. I actually enjoy this game despite the slowdown. The Gradius power up system is neat and it still has elements of Contra in it for me to consider it part of the series.

@@GoodVibeCollecting My understanding is that Force was supposed to be released before III, but it got delayed long enough to push it back from its intended winter '91 release to late '92. There was an issue of Nintendo Power that specifically pointed at Force being the planned 3rd game... volume 26, I believe.

I got this one for my 9th birthday. I couldn't even make it past the first level. Keep on impressing your fans. As long as you keep dishing out these play it through videos I'll keep watching them. I'm pretty sure a lot more people who watch you follow your strategies.

Enemy #1- Have a few infantrymen stationed on the wings of the planes. Enemy #2- ON THE WINGS??? You mean as they’re FLYING?!!! Enemy#1- Yes. Cuz you never know.

I didn't know this existed. Damn, highly destructible environments, powerup customization, multiple paths. This thing would've been an absolute winner for me when I was a kid and was more forgiving of things like wonky hitboxes and slowdown/flicker.

Good memories, contra force wasn't as hard though. And btw do you know at the last boss you can stand in one of those ditches and just shoot him without him or the heli ever hitting you?
