I always used to wonder why the aliens were primarily football players. Especially that one boss who had spiked shoulder pads, because your reward for beating him was that you got to go inside a jukebox. And inside that jukebox was a factory with cardboard walls. The game is called Gryzor on European computer systems like the Commodore 64, and Probotector on the NES, which replaces the main characters with robots because German law didn't want people killing people in video games at the time. Contra 3 is called Super Probotector over here and possibly my favourite game of all time. Maybe you guys could give Contra 3 a spin someday.

I don't disagree. The Contra blokes are little more than action archetypes. That has its charm, but the robots have a more distinct look for sure. My favorite Contra character is definitely Browny from Hard Corps, though. _So_ much fun to play as, and adorable to boot.

And to top it all off, Gamefreak especially mentioned how they're removing over half the Pokémon to improve the graphics. In this case, would you still consider all the complaints the same as "complaining about shit that doesn't matter" ? (bearing in mind that PokeSwSh is effectively 80$ spent on a worse experience compared to older and cheaper games)

What you're describing is how stop signs instead of lights create fewer accidents but slow traffic. No signs on an intersection is death. But lights are faster but cause more accidents.

(Not)Surprisingly, not a lot of people know what (R) does. Its because the difference is so minute. R stands for Rapid, it makes player bullets travel faster, it doesn't downgrade back to Normal shots, it makes your shots travel faster. The shots traveling faster makes it leave the screen faster, therefore making it so that you can shoot more often.

If you us an NES Four Score multitap, you can turn on turbo fire for either button for a regular controller. It's very helpful because you don't have to jam your thumb on the 'B' button to rapid-fire. It also adds 6 feet of cable length. You can usually find them used for $10, like I did. It's an accessory that no NES owner should be without.

In my country there are some sets of traffic light that don't have red, just Green and Amber(yellow/orange). Green means go and amber means go slowly and give way to pedestrians. Also, in some other countries they don't have orange, the Red/Green lights flash to show when they are going to change.

I would say yellow is still important, because yellow without red also means yield (or watch for other traffic and go slow), so a yellow light would mean you could go when there is no other traffic, but have to yield for traffic going through the green light.

It's when a sprite/image/whatever is set as being see-through (aka: transparent), and they use this to put 16 non-black colors on the boss, and the black from the background is seen through the transparent bits, giving it a 17th color.
