It's a beautiful instrument. Always great to have that option. It's so difficult to really judge an instrument like this outside of the musical context of playing on a live stage. Even a real double bass will sound so different in that setting compared to solo. What strings are working for you on that bass?

Instrument in this video is equipped with D'Addario Helicore Orchestral medium 3/4 strings. Many other strings can be considered, it depends on personal taste, our electronics are adaptable to most, from gut strings, synthetics etc. Other strings brands tested on this instrument and proposed as option are: Thomastik Spirocore and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi.
