Hello! I am impressed by your channel! Where can i find coordinates dimension 17? Tried the migration library but concluded that i serves a completely different purpose. Thanks in advance!

Hi Anotonios, thanks for the comment. Open up your object settings dialog and search there for "coordinate" and you'll see 17 and several others show up. I'm on 23 and just tested this now and it's still there for download...

Hi! I'm lost as to how to make a csv file from excel and then import in Archicad. Please help me...

Hi Eram. Check out the Excel formatting at 27:05. This formatting is typical for loading into a Total Station. However, if you're trying to setup a point list to go into Archicad, you'll want to remove the headline value, as well as the name and DESC columns. All you should need is points for X, Y, Z, without any ft or in markings. Try this out and hopefully this works for you! I'll have to do a video on it here soon if not:)

@@CONTRABIM Thank you very much for your reply. I shall follow these steps and let you know. The problem I am encountering is....I put in the coordinates via coordinate dimension object...I save in Dwg format...but when the dwg is imported in topcon controller for staking...it doesn't show any points.

@@eramakhter6646 Saving in DWG format will do nothing for you except create a DWG reference. DWG by itself cannot ready or list your coordinates. Some controllers have the functionality to create points at intersections and corners, but that is a different workflow. In order to use the coordinate dimensions from Archicad as points in your controller, export as noted in the video to XLSX. Open that file and ensure the formatting is ok and setup how your Topcon controller wants to receive it. LIkely if you have any units lists (ft /in) you may need to do a find and replace with nothing to clear those. Once you've formatted your XLSX file, save it as a CSV format and import it into your Topcon Controller. You should get a list of points if formatted correctly, based on the coordinates you've set in Archicad. You may consult your Topcon manual for how to format the CSV point list for import, they may have a different version required for it to read correctly. Good luck!
