Third party liability cover is an extension given under CPM policy. If because of use of CPM equipment there is a damage to third party property or third party body injury, insurance company would be liable to pay that legal liability on insured. Similarly if there is some property belonging to principal is already lying at construction site or some material is kept at construction site under his custody and control and if it's get damaged due to use of construction equipment, insurance company would pay the loss or damaged to owners surrounding property up to the limits specified in policy

Can we cover impact damage due to insured's own vehicle as add on in CPM

no need to take add on cover because impact damage due to insured's own vehicle is a built in cover under CPM policy.

Sir CPM policies are location based. Would it be right to give a blanket cover for location such as "All over India" excluding the transit period since often the insured says that his machinery operates as per contract at various locations ?

although it is not advisable but many times for big contractors floater policy covering named location across country can also be given subject to charging some additional loading on base premium
