The Reminder(114 Surats) informs us that there is a Tradition which claims to be an Apostolic Tradition but rejects circumcision while the Apostles were all circumcised, the Apostles didn't believe in Trinity, and prescribed a dietary Law in Acts 15:22-34 which the said Tradition rejects. It is not ironic! On the basis of those clues we can say for sure that: Qur'an is a codeword for Torah. The Reminder is the 114 Surats Islam means an Evangelical Party supposed to enforce the Torah as the Law of the land. Muhammad euphemism for Messiah Abu Quasim as an Arabian Evangelist who later became a Sovereign Ruler, Legislator...and took up Muhammad as a reign name. Unfortunately the "Muhammad" of the Palace and the "Mohammad" of the Shahada in the Mosque got blended together in the Tradition. It's time to differentiate the Palace and the Mosque...under the Messianic title Mohammad.

Very interesting again. Having spotted '93,000 textual differences', I do wonder if they should be properly categorised for further study. Elsewhere, see Study Quran page 1656, Ignas Goldziher has divided commentary traditions into discrete modes such as grammatical, doctrinal, mystical, sectarian and modern (sic). Perhaps a similar approach ? This could a challenging task to put all 93,000 on a spread sheet format and that would then be easy carry pivotal analysis of conundrums including good pie-charts to identify majors pointers for systematic/critical skilled study. In a recent youtube talk on Hadiths Dr Shabir Ally has conceded 'critical skills' required to understand Hadiths - another problem area in the academic work of Islam. Apply a similar methodology to study these 93,000 Qira'at conundrums ? PS: How does this compare with the total number of words in the Quran? Some explanations required for clarity please. Simple google search shows 77,797 words - 47,638 Meccan and 30, 159 Medinan. There seem to be 6666 or 6236 verses in 114 Surahs depending which Quran you follow, right? .

Yes - IF it really matters categorisation would be helpful - I favour GRAMMATICAL categories only such as 1. Plural -----Singular 2. HE-------WE 3. PAST - FUTURE 4. These examples of verses do not seem to dramatically change in meaning between Hafs and Warsh, and this seems a bit like splitting hairs. Addressing each example based on your translations and explanations: - For 2:58 "it shall be forgiven", it is clear from the context this is talking about God ( quran.com/2/55-59 ). It does not seem to me that Warsh readers would be missing anything. - For 2:140, according to Wikipedia ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qiraat#Examples_of_differences_between_readings ), the tendency to switch between you and they pronouns is a known feature of the Quran called "iltifat", and examples of this can even be found in the same Qiraat or verse ( www.learnarabiconline.com/arabic-rhetoric/ilm-ul-maani/iltifat-in-arabic/ ) - For 2:184, this verse is talking about multiple people (they / those) feeding multiple people. Linguistically, if you say "students must bring their textbooks", it is unclear how many textbooks each student has (one or many) since there is a sum of multiple textbooks between multiple students. If Warsh is talking about donating to Masaakeena (poor people) as a sum between multiple people, then this would not necessarily be saying something different than Hafs which clarifies one poor person each. Furthermore, in real world practice, there seems to be flexibility in how you donate fidyah (alms for missing fasts) and who receives it (individuals, family, or collected from multiple donors by a third party and distributed to a group). So a lack of clarity in this verse wouldn't technically affect the real world practice of fidyah if there were no strict rule on how many people can receive a fidyah to begin with. - For 2:219, replacing great with much doesn't seem to affect the meaning any. This verse simply says the sin of gambling and drinking is greater than their benefit. It doesn't matter whether you say the sin is bigger or more than the benefit, it means the same thing. Also, sin is not a tangible object, so how you describe the size of something that is not tangible is subjective. Tafsir Al-Jalalayn also mentions this variant ( quranx.com/Tafsirs/2.219 ) and doesn't seem to have an issue with it.

Bittonno, my friend, I don't know your background, but there was no 'Good Friday'. The crucifixion was on a Wednesday [Nissan14, the preparation day], the day before the Passover [Nissan15, a High Sabbath]. Yeshua arose on the eave after the weekly Sabbath [Nissan18, the day of First Fruits]. During the 3 days [Nissan15,16,17] He was in the grave as prophesied by Jona. The name 'Easter' was adopted by the Church of Rome from the Pagan Fertility Festival. Eggs and Bunnies are also adopted as fertility symbols. The Feast on which Yeshua was sacrificed is known as the Passover or Pash.

@@colinhartung8952 You need to be Biblical. Jesus was crucified the day before the Sabbath, and was taken down on the day before the Sabbath, which is Friday. Comparison is always possible - Just select you basis for comparison and off you go! ( as seen for example in the claims around Deut 18 and THE Prophet)

Rock Sait I read your comment with interest and having studied the Quran and the Bible I can answer to the points you raised about Quran and the Bible. I can give you 3 reasons why Bible is not the same as the Quran. 1.The Quran has always been in the hands of the people.The Bible doesn't claim this Bible has been the property of the church not the people. 2.The Bible is in dead languages written in ancient Hebrew,ancient Aramaic and ancient Greek.Quran is in living language of Arabic which millions of people speak. 3.There has never been so much as a letter in dispute about the Quran. Quran is not a written book it doesn't have any authors,a human author. The Quran restores the original monotheistic of Jesus who is not part of a trity. Quran came as a last revelation and it corrects all the mistakes that crept in the Bible.

You're putting in solid efforts, but maybe this line of evidence is not as convincing as others. These variations would be consistent with the notion that the Qurans were sent out when the diacriticals hadn't yet (in the Arabic used) been fully defined, so that the text had ambiguities. But once sent out to different locations, mosques in the Arab Empire, it was more difficult to add in these necessary markups consistently, because of the dispersal of the qurans. Hence some differences. (I'm sure God would never use an unrefined script for his revelation unless He had to, however Abd-El-Malik may have wanted a religious system to unite the Arab foot soldiers of the Empire, hence needing Quran in Arabic.) The differences you give here don't seem especially substantive to me, but of course do show that it wasn't a perfect text, that as it were, came down from Allah as a gift. I have heard that some surahs were massively altered (was it surah 3??) and the Al fatiha surah 1 got added. Is there any evidence for this? This would be more substantive. Shias have often claimed a lot of content was stripped that related to Ali - is there any evidence of this? Islam Critiqued channel says there were versions of the shahada that didn't include Mohammed, that bit was patched in later. The content of the Quran of course has problems in its sources - like use of protogospel of James and the infancy gospel of Thomas, which are recognized as inauthentic and the authors of the Quran, if really tuning into God, would not have used. The traditions include things that seem to be mocking "Mohammed" and making him do and say horrible things, which suggests that hadith "compilers" were not a happy crew and trying to sabotage things (when they could get away with it), as well as those hadiths and the sira not matching 7C evidence from coins and historical accounts of the 7C time span.

"The differences you give here don't seem especially substantive to me, but of course do show that it wasn't a perfect text, that as it were, came down from Allah as a gift." The Quran does not contain Bible stories although they may share similarities in a few of the stories. The stories in the Quran are the stories of the many sects of the Jewish and Christian tribes in 7th Century Arabia. Among the Jewish sects were those who worshipped Ezra as the son of God. The Christian sects included Trinitarians, Gnostics, Collyridians and others. The traditions of these Christian and Jewish tribes in the Arabian Peninsula diverged from those traditions practiced by the Jews and Christians residing in Palestine, Syria and Babylonia. It was from these latter northern traditions that the Biblical writers drew for their narratives in Biblical texts. There are commonalities, to be sure as the name of the Biblical deity, Aloah which parallels the Arabic name Allah and appears in more than 50 Biblical verses as Deu 32:15, Deu 32:17, 2 Chr 32:15, Neh 9:17, Job 3:4, Job 3:23, Job 4:9, Job 4:17, Job 5:17, Job 6:4, Job 6:8, Job 6:9, Job 9:13, Job 10:2, Job 11:5, Job 11:6, Job 11:7, Job 12:4, Job 12:6, Job 15:8, Job 16:20, Job 16:21, Job 19:6, Job 19:21, Job 19:26, Job 21:9, Job 21:19, Job 22:12, Job 22:26, Job 24:12, Job 27:3, Job 27:8, Job 27:10, Job 29:2, Job 29:4, Job 31:2, Job 31:6, Job 33:12, Job 33:26, Job 35:10, Job 37:15, Job 37:22, Job 39:17, Job 40:2, Psa 18:31, Psa 50:22, Psa 114:7, Psa 139:19, Prov 30:5, Isa 44:8, Dan 11:37, Dan 11:38, Dan 11:38, Dan 11:39, Hab 1:11, Hab 3:3. The stories regarding Jesus and Mary parallel Biblical stories in many aspects but deviate in many others. The same can be said about the stories regarding Moses, Joseph and others. The differences between the Biblical narratives and those in the Quran are reflective of the fluidity of Judaism and Christianity in the 7th Century. So, it is academically helpful if one compares the origins of the stories in both the Bible and Quran as they reflect the beliefs of Judaism and Christianity in the 7th Century. Muslims hold that the stories in the Quran were revealed to Mohammed to demonstrate to these Arabian Christian and Jewish tribes that he was a true prophet as he could recite their traditions in the most eloquent language and in the most accurate manner. Mohammed knew nothing of these stories and many of the verses in the Quran are answers to inquiries from these Christian and Jewish tribes whose beliefs varied widely from modern Western Christianity. So, a good advice would be to research the languages of both of these texts as well their historical context and cultural contexts. Otherwise, debates and discussion become contentious and uninformative.

Wouldn't they just defend this by saying both ways are allowed since it was revealed to Muhammad in many ways. I also can see how some of the more liberal ones would say focus on the message. 1. For who forgive the sins, they will say only Allah can forgive so any verse that is ambiguous would automatically refer to Allah 2. Again they will say it doesn't matter who says it. The main thing is that Allah knows better 3. They will say who cares if it's feeding one or many poor people as long as you do something good. The point here is to do charity 4. Regarding the sin they would just say it's a way of signifying that it was a big mistake akin to doing many sins in one Still nothing too damaging so far when it comes to the verses

As for the copies being burnt by Uthman, they will just say maybe some did survive, meaning Uthman was not able to get rid of all of them. Isn't it normal for one language to have many dialects anyway? Even english has many dialects that neither you or I would be able to understand
@fgtrhwu23 жыл бұрын
@Justinthe Comments To be honest when I as a non Muslim look at these differences I don't feel they are particularly damaging. Does it matter if it says king or owner? Can't a king also be an owner and vice versa especially since the verse refers to God. I'm still waiting for differences in verses that totally change how muslims would practice today. I would say for those who believe that the quran was never ever changed, they would be hard done by this. But in terms of practice I have yet to see anything that changes that so far. Let's see what other verses would be presented and I may change my mind.

TRINITY EXPLAINED ----------------------------- The Trinity Teaches That God Ask Himself To Go To Earth To Save Mankind. Then He Agreed With Himself And Volunteered Himself To Himself To Offer Himself. Then "God" Impregnated A young Female which became his own Mother, As Himself, With Himself, To Be Himself. God Prayed To Himself, Glorified Himself Repeatedly. God Strengthened Himself And Talked To Himself. Finally, God Forsook Himself And Sacrificed Himself To Prove His Loyalty To Himself. While Dead, He Resurrected Himself So He Could Exalt Himself Above Himself. Then He Sat At His Own Right Hand And Waited Till He Placed His Enemies At His Foot Stool. Finally, With Satan's Force Defeated, God Would Turn His Kingdom Over To Himself That All Things Would Become Everything To Himself.

Quran is one intact for the last 1400 years. Defferent qiraat means defferent pronunciation and they do not changing the message. They all preach that believes in one God Allah alone he has no son and Jesus is his prophet.

THE NEW TESTAMENT BOOK DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE THE HOLY BOOK OF CHRISTIANS, BECAUSE THE CONTENT OF THE BOOK IS ONLY THE INTERACTION BETWEEN JESUS AND ISRAELITES, THERE IS NO INTERACTION BETWEEN JESUS AND CHRISTIANS. THERE ARE SIX CHRISTIAN WORDS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, BUT THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH JESUS. SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT JESUS IS GOD OF CHRISTIANS.

Why you don’t fix the contradiction of the trinity 3=1. The illogical inheritance of the sin. And the irresponsible belief of someone dying for your sin. Where is the free will ? Where is the responsibility of your actions?Don’t waste your time a Muslim who knows his religion will not fall this human fallacies. What you have is not the religion God sent to his messenger Issa son of Mary(peace be upon him). Repent, God forgives those who return to him.

JESUS IS NOT GOD OF CHRISTIANS. JESUS DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CHRISTIAN. THERE IS NO VERSE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT PROVES THAT JESUS IS GOD OF CHRISTIANS. JESUS WAS NEVER SENT TO CHRISTIANS. THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JESUS AND CHRISTIANITY. JESUS ONLY HAS A VERY CLEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. MATTHEW 15: 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of ISRAEL. JESUS WAS BORN TO BE A LEADER WHO WILL SHEPHERD THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL, NOT SHEPHERD CHRISTIANS. MATTHEW 2: 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people ISRAEL. JESUS ONLY SPOKE TO THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL, JESUS NEVER SPOKE TO CHRISTIANS. MARK 12: 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments, Hear, O ISRAEL, The Lord our God is one Lord. JESUS IS THE SAVIOUR OF THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. JESUS IS NOT THE SAVIOUR OF CHRISTIANS. THERE IS NO VERSE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT STATES THAT JESUS IS THE SAVIOUR OF CHRISTIANS. ACTS 13: 23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto ISRAEL A SAVIOUR, JESUS. ALL THE ACTIVITIES OF JESUS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT ARE ONLY WITH ISRAELIS, NEVER WITH CHRISTIANS. SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT JESUS IS GOD OF CHRISTIANS.

I actually thought these guys were on to something. Hafs is the official recitation of the Qur'an, that's why it's used 100%. WHY? Even those who recite in THE OTHER DIALECT knows Hafs. for the Muslims its not a problem because we understand that Hafs is what they recited in the time of the prophet sallallaahu alayhis salaam. APPROVALS were given for those DIALECT because they didn't change the meaning from Hafs. That's why all Qur'an were burnt EXCEPT HAFS because they started using other DIALECT that changed the meaning. What do we use to rectify any mistakes if why find it in a Qur'an? Thank you HAFS. If there is a Qur'an that is corrupted we would know because we take our pride in the Qur'an It's sad that they Quoted Shabeer Alli and Yasir Qadhi out of a debate. They cowardly took extract from videos that were made without proper research being done. Please note the two brothers are not scholars on Qur'an. If you wanted a debate you would have gotten researched answers. It's sad what you are doing to your people. For the Saudi guy ask him if He knows what the Islamic Aqeedah comprises of. Don't let him let you think that. 1 All Muslims are knowledgeable 2 All Muslims know the Qur'an NO NOT ALL OF THEM DO THAT'S WHY HE IS SITTING WITH YOU. He is not out of those Arab clothing because in his heart he still wants to be identified with Muslims.
@colinpatterson7283 жыл бұрын
WHAT do you mean by "...those who recite in the OTHER DIALECT" ( The one not recited in the time of your prophet ) .......NOTE HAFS Version ( or whatever word you want) is the EXACT version recited in the time of Sean Hopkinson's prophet......Anyone care to Prove this ? - Not that it matters ! - EVEN IF it were true perfect preservation would not prove the contents to be true - They could be just perfectly preserved LIES. So it turns out that the Muslim claim of PERFECT preservation is false and even if it were true it would not prove truth or authorship-------------------

Not convincing. You should do better. Those differences not a gross one and for muslim hadith will clarify anything that is not clear in Quran. Quran and hadith should be complementary.

Sura 2: 140 : Do you know better, or does Allah. The answer is only Allah blows best (21:91), abrogated by Allah knows breast (surah and ayah perfectly peeserved, ..err.. preserved inside the digestive tract of Aisha's tame sheep/goat). Or a verse that sounds alike or better (2:106)
@AmaRev3 жыл бұрын
You guys like to hang on to dust. First, How many people were writing Quran in the era prophet!? One, two, several, or Aisha!? Second, Quran (2:106) didn't say verse, it says the Arabic word "آية " which can mean "evidence, proof, miracle, verse,...." How do you know the word "آية " on verse 2:106 means verse!? Who told you so? If the prophet hasn't explained verse 2:106, then how can you claim to know the correct translation? You guys are picking the translation that suits your interests. You can't prove the bible is right, so all is left is trying to discredit the truth. God has spoken about the kinds of Al Fadi and his buddy. Verse (3:7) He is the One who has revealed to you the Book (the Qur’ān). Out of it there are verses that are MuHkamāt (of established meaning), which are the principal verses of the Book, and some others are Mutashābihāt (whose definite meanings are unknown). Now those who have perversity in their hearts go after such part of it as is mutashābih, seeking (to create) discord, and searching for its interpretation (that meets their desires), while no one knows its interpretation except Allah; and those well-grounded in knowledge say: “We believe therein; all is from our Lord.” Only the men of understanding observe the advice.
