brother that line in the video was literally him explaining how he's going to milk the "baliscissors" as much as he can. "I don't think it's perfect so I'm doing 1 to see if I can sell it" yeah that's faker than a $1000 bill. He know's he can sell and he knows the product works he's made 30 videos about it to get attention and is now going to only auction off this cheap 1-2$ product for thousands of dollars because he baited people in and now everyone wants "the only one" for a ridiculous price. Why else would he be building this much attention before posting the auction link. It's so sad to see people not passionate about their youtube channel rather only want to make videos for money. Was a cool concept until greed was involved that made it sour.

One of the coolest and most unique things on these new Baliscissors is the locking mechanism. It's so cool, you just press a button and they're closed, obviously no one has used them yet, but I hope the button doesn't scrap out like normal Balisong latches do. I cannot wait to buy one of these!

I’ve been following your Bali scissors creation for a while now, almost since the beginning. It’s crazy to see the final product and how far it’s come along. I think they’re great and definitely would buy one if you were to sell more. I think it’s a really cool and creative take on scissors that can also be used as a Balisong. And it’s cool cause it’s like a trainer since the sides aren’t sharp when using it to flip. Very unique and different. I always like new knives with different deployment methods or locking mechanisms. Seeing how people took a simple pocket knife that just opens and closes and created many different ways in doing so is fascinating

Congratulations on reaching a product you're willing to sell! I'm happy for you, happy for the other fans of this project, and happy to look forward to more widely accessible options! Also, I think it's a good idea sticking with 'paper cutting' as a goal. My wife is a seamstress, and her fabric scissors are a whole other thing. I think the most strenuous thing I'd want a pair of quick-access Baliscissors to cut would be plastic wristbands of the sort you get at concerts or conventions. These look perfect for that!

Daaaaaaaaaaamn... I'll be sitting the auction out and waiting until you have these officially up for sale, but after the KZbin algorithm randomly actually dropped a relevant video into the feed (blind squirrels apparently do find nuts occasionally... 😃) I wanted to drop a line to say just how delighted this demented idea makes me. As an avid flipper and a professional craftsman (luthier and bowyer, so my wood oriented brain is in mild awe of you metal nerd types...) I'm always on the lookout for innovative new balis and this is just about the most interesting thing I've seen in years, which is nice enough as is, but the sheer audacity of the idea and the clear amount of care and thought you're putting into the whole affair is a while new level of awesome. If you'd told me I was going to find a functional balisong/scissors hybrid an hour ago I would have done a "whatever dude", rolled my eyes, ans dismissed it as a fart in the hreeze, but hot damn it looks like you've actually done it, or almost done it. Anyway, I'll stop nerding and end this ramble by saying thanks a million - your madcap idea and earnest presentation made my day and I look forward to trying one of your creations, but until then keep up the awesome work and best of luck with your tinkering...

The fact that this design, puts the lock mechanism and the mode switching in the same button, is too perfect and since its not a knife, theres no bite handle, you also do remove the need for one handle to be different in some way, so you can do away with the latch all together, its actually brilliant and makes it soo clean

In a book i read it said "The true test of any product is in the hands of customers". You do not need to overthink a product. Get it out to real customers and get their opinion about the product. If they are not satisfied you give them money back, improve the product, repeat. You have an amazing product here, sure there are thing that could be improved but maybe theses things are bigger issues in you mind than in reality. Let the customers determine. 3:50 If you want to go for more sharpness (and to a certain extent hardness), “Diamond Like Carbon” coating may be a good option. It is a thin film coating with High Sharpness/Scratch Resistance, and Low Friction. (i am uncertain on indentation hardness/more specifics etc, i am not a materials scientist or other expert, and only read up on this material recently.) May be pricey to do as a service, and i don’t know if hardware like the PVD Machine that “The Thought Emporium” can do if, but it is definitely worth a look in my opinion.

To improve the cutting properties, you could look at micro serration. It is a very subtle grind on the blades that stop the fabric from slipping. We use it to cut kevlar with kitchen scissors, it will work wonders for your low tension scissor design! It takes just a few strokes and really improves sheering force especially on slippy, lose fibres like hair or kevlar

I really want a pair of these for decorative purposes and for the neat Balisong / Scissor usages it brings. It is definitely something I will immediately buy once it becomes available, and I don't plan on skipping out on them once they release!

I’m about 2h late to the party but congratulations!! 🎉 to get this far is a really big achievement, you’ve taken a concept, 2 themes merged together never tried before and then turned it into a functional design as well as a pre production model with lots of prototypes!!! I can’t wait until you are in production and shipping outside of the US I’m in the uk, I will definitely get a pair!! Can’t wait for your next update!! ❤
