wonder what state this is in? grazing in February!! I dream of that in northern IL; but I do see winter wheat; so maybe? I still have lots to learn.

The video was from mid May in Nebraska. In state further south, rye and triticale could certainly be grazed in Feb... but not in NE or IL!

Is rye or triticale better in sandy soil?
@LootahTatanka2 жыл бұрын
In Germany at least, rye dominates in terms of yield on sandy soils. Triticale is grown here in the low mountain ranges.

Is that rye the same as annual rye grass for lawns sold at hardware storrs?

no

Actually yes to correct the other answer you got. I use Gulf annual rye to over seed my bermuda lawn. It works great and does suppress weeds. However which I haven't experienced yet I've heard it can suppress bermuda as well.

I don't think so, and both rye and triticale are edible when they head out
