We round out the excellent raft of AoS Monsters with Betlhanos the First Thorn of Kurnoth and what a way to finish things off! A Kurnoth Hunter riding a bug? It doesn't get better than this! Massive thankyou to Games Workshop for sending me the Blades of Belthanos early to build up and paint for all of you. This one was fun because I was completely off book! Just doing my own thing!

Amazing paint job! I'm struggling to decide whether to go all-in contrast paints vs classic acrylics for my own Sylvaneth army. After playing around with contrasts the answer is not that obvious. Out of curiosity, how much time would you say that you save by painting a model like this with contrast paints vs classical method?

Awesome paintjob! Not very experienced with contrast paints, but how matt does Black Legion come out when base coated properly? Am a little worried that with such large surface area it can get very glossy like many other contrast paints.

black legion is relatively single pigmented and overall just a great black paint in my opinion. So over large areas it doesn't really gloss up

Did you have any trouble assembling Belthanos? I found that I can't get the abdomen to adhere to the front of the insect, or get a particularly flush fit.

I can imagine the sculptors are rather irritated with Warhammer Community: Sculptors: We've given Sylvaneth a beetle, dragonflies, and a bunch of other insects that aren't bugs.
