Control All Cutscenes Game Movie is the full story of the newly release game. It includes relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cinematics to try and stitch together a fluid cinematic experience.
We cut out most of the side mission stuff, and focused in on the main story. We hope you enjoy!
Jesse Faden arrives at the Oldest House, the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, after receiving a telepathic calling from a paranatural being she refers to as "Polaris," which she shares a special connection with. Seeking the whereabouts of her brother Dylan, who was kidnapped by the Bureau seventeen years prior after an Altered World Event in their hometown of Ordinary, Jesse discovers that the Bureau's previous Director, Zachariah Trench, has apparently committed suicide. Taking his fallen sidearm, Jesse discovers it is an Object of Power - the Service Weapon - and is transported to the Astral Plane, where she completes a ritual and is selected as the new Director by the Board, a paranatural entity that guides the Bureau from the shadows. Jesse emerges from Trench's office and discovers that the Oldest House has been invaded by a hostile force known as the Hiss, which possesses the Bureau's agents and corrupts the building's shifting topography. Jesse uses an Object of Power known as the Hotline to listen to the lingering presence of Trench, who relays that his former management team knows the secrets of the Bureau, and Jesse hopes they may be able to tell her the whereabouts of Dylan.

Which made the new council very suspicious of him. But honestly anything and most things SCP lore related are fluid. you can pick and choose cuz there are versions of the council where there are more normal people than just the one. @@Landis963 Allegedly. We aren't given enough evidence either way. However, we do know that they (The Bureau) took her brother and experimented on him in some fashion, which left him altered. I can't remember the specifics anymore but they kidnapped him, experimented on him, then locked him away. Was this all for the benefit of mankind? And how many others are there? Regardless, they started out as the antagonists and have now become her friends without any real resolution imho.

They probably tried imbuing him with a few powers like Jesse did with the TV et al., and it backfired horribly because they aren't really set up to provide a healthy growing environment for a child (to wit: _Threshold Kids_), so they needed to switch into containment mode when he snapped and launched an agent into a wall. He was intended to replace Director Trench, after all.

The bad guys lost, the good guys ( the board) were looking for Jesse for years, because they needed someone with her ESP abilities to lead the FBC. they tried to recruit both of them as children but only got Dylan. Dylan rejected his ESP and the hiss got into his head. Jesse thinks hers is the creature Hedron (she calls it Polaris) communicating with her. Really hedron showed her how to use her abilities.

This game is the perfect mixture of Remedy's best games: the noir style of Max Payne, the science fiction and visuals of Quantum Break, and a lot of elements of Alan Wake the story starts out okay but could've been better executed, and the ending is fine, it just leaves a few unanswered questions, but so do most of Remedy's games also, GLP missed several important information which would've better explained the plot All in all, I think Remedy's still got it, I just wish they could make sequels to Quantum Break and Control, or better explain the story connection between their chief games

@@fozzibab When I first realized it was happening on the first conversation, it comes across as her being distracted. Either it's an oversight, or Jesse just takes it in stride IC. Given her reactions to the whole place and her 'belief' in the 'supernatural' I tend to go with taking it in stride.

Plot-wise it is somewhat messy. The intentional vagueness of the background makes it harder to become invested in the central character, most side characters are just exposition dumps with little to no personality. The plot feels in a way like "Lost" - they setup up a lot of interesting mysteries, and then don't give satisfying resolution to them. Like (spoiler below)... Are they implying that originally Jesse did not have a brother (or is it just a misdirection) ("the only child", "a copy of a copy of a copy" about Polaris, her taking about missing parts of herself to psychiatrist and having trouble remembering anything before the Event) ? That she was somehow triplicated during the Altered World event and got split into: - Dylan, who becomes the Hiss avatar - Polaris, the Hedron's avatar (and at the same time the personification of the player inside the game's universe) - and Jesse herself is whatever remained

After careful analysis of everything, I believe the Director has become someone of a demi-god with all her powers. And she is the Director. But she is also the Janitor's Assistant. And the Janitor is imho more powerful than her. And he is also not wearing the gear that protects from the hiss, but he is fine. I think he is a god and the real MC that keeps the gateways stabilized or something.

i think its hard for anyone to say they conclusively understand the story, the outcome, they many whys and whats of the game. universally im sure people agree the game was inspired by the SCP foundation, which in of itself is great, but that just it, to really know whats happening, you gotta do some reading, play the game, the effort to make a cutscene movie as you always do is amazing as always. but for anyone reading, if you want to understand more about everything in the game, play it, read the notes and articles. just liek SCP, you need to read the containment files and addendums.

I think the narration bits are great, but there are other times when you don't need it in the dialogue and can see her emotions and behavior through it just fine or can display it through context and subtlety instead. It kind of ruins the immersion slightly and takes the focus off of the conversation itself and on only the main characters reactions instead, but the story seems overall fine still as an experience.

It’s all fine with mouth, it’s just only looks messy. In the first builds on PS4 camera sometimes flew into the head of NPCs - and they have a tongue, teeth and part of throat.
