Super informative and great videos! First, i though why the hell are you repeating all the things you say so many times, but then i tried to repeat the same things to myself on the water. And wow, that helps!

Probably the No.1 reason for improving windsurfers to get stuck in their progress. I've been working this for two years and am still improving (hard to unlearn the habits from the 80's & 90's when you return to windsurfing mid-life!).

Any chance you could do a video of waist harness vs seat harness and the difference when you are windsurfing with each. I use a seat( 16 years), and am nervous about possibly switching. Not many new seat harnesses out there for women only waist. Thanks, love your videos. I always come away with something new to try.

Hi! Mare you in my Patreon group? We’ve discussed it there a bit over the last couple of years. Short summer… 95% of windsurfers should be on a waits harness. - more efficient - better manoeuvrability Only time you really need a seat harness is if you’re on a slalom race, or gps race… and I don’t mean “I sail on slalom kit”…or “il like going fast”… I mean actually racing and aiming to add a few knots to your recorded too speed!

@@CookiesportsI am not sure what patreon group is but I guess I'm not in it.I am a subscriber to your channel. Unfortunately I am 68 and all my friends are older (one is 80 other 75) and we all use seat harnesses. Not sure I could change gears now to a waist harness. I should try to I know but I'm not sure how things would be done differently with waist as opposed to seat.

Hi Cookie! speaking of front hand, could you do a tutorial of how we can relax the front hand and let it graze the water.. like what we see in many promotional photos & videos ;) windsurfing one-handed with only my front hand on the boom is easy, but i'm not that comfortable windsurfing one-handed if it is only my back hand. any tips?

Hahah! 🤩 a great idea for a video!

Hey Cookie! The NOUN relative to "comfortable" is COMFORT, not comfortableness! Not trying to be picky, it just helps with the impression overall! And blatting along on a short board certainly doesn't help improve anyone's grammar!

Haha! I know- I was kicking myself when I edited it! 🤣🤣 just a lot going on whilst windsurfing and trying to present at the same time! 😜

Hi - arriving in Vasiliki on 21st May for a week, having not windsurfed for too many years! I was wondering if I should bring a shortie wetsuit or not? I don't especially feel the cold much but was just wondering what the general vibe would be at this time of year. Love your videos by the way.

Hi! Thanks for watching! Definitely bring a west if shorty if you have one! See you here soon!

Does the width of your stance affect harness line width? I have an extremely wide stance on the boards I use in chop.The designer told me where to put the straps and initially it felt horribly wide but now it's terrific for control.
@Cookiesports Жыл бұрын
Not really… the lines are to balance the pull of the sail so how your standing won’t affect it much. What board are you on? “Wide” stance, but still in both straps I assume?
