That recording of Beethoven's sonata No 8 op 13, third movement (Allegro) is nice but there is some odd noise sometimes.

The gyro produces a torque that's perpendicular to the axis of rotation and the axis of actuation. This is fine when the gyro is at the neutral 0 degrees (horizontal), but as the angle increases, the produced torque is also angled. This means there's a 'twisting' component of the resultant force vector. If this was placed on a smooth flat surface, this would cause the cube to start twisting about the vertical axis.

Very nice. Any chance one could get a hold of the STL files for the black ..... scaffolding? And, is that gyro holder actually milled out of metal, or is it just some metal looking filament?
