Labels must be installed on the back panel. Installing labels directly on the device is not a good practice. Usually if a part has to be replaced, the label goes with the bad part. Terminal blocks suppose to be close to one of the sides of the control panel, where input wires go into the panel and power has usually installed at right and control device left. The main reason is the control part is usually connected to door push buttons, so cables are shorter and does not mix with Power cables.

Nice panel. A lot of work goes into these things. Too bad they generally arrive on site, sit under a pile of wood, get hit by a fork truck for a few months then get put up with the enclosure all scuffed up. Oh well, at least the insides are pretty when the door is open...

I was a supervisor for several panel shops for about ten years, I am to say the least, disappointed in the quality of workmanship of this panel. if I was presented with a door like that, I would have my builder redo it. I won't go into the back plate.

My main issue is that the way the door wiring crossing the hinge, with no protection. when the door closes you are applying leverage to the tie bases, it would be better with a small loop. It would also look more professional with some covering on the wires. Using spiral wrap, or my preference, convoluted split loom. I couldn't see the bundling on the door, so I don't know if the wires were parallel or not. Are the red wires 120Vac or 24vac? assuming they are 120V as they are next to white wires on the terminal block, then they should be kept separated as much as possible. if the 120v is coming from an outside source, they should be in yellow wire. I agree with someone elses' comment, the terminals would normally be at the edge of the panel, but not knowing what this panel is for, or how it will be installed, that is a minor issue for me. 24vdc wiring should be kept together on one side of the panel, away from all higher voltages. in this panel, on the right side. The wireway between the terminal rails should have been left empty, the 120V rail should have been where the 24v rail is and visa versa. The field wiring for the motors will be running in with all your field control wiring. Maybe it's because of the camera angle, but i can't see any grounding points. It would look neater if the 2" wireway on the left of the panel went all the way to the bottom 1" wireway, or the lower 1.5" went to the side. Butting 2 ends of different sizes does not look good at all, Its difficult enough putting 2 pieces the same size. A cover for the distribution block is missing. There are a few other minor things, like tools, and procedures, but that is your shops preference. But I will leave it there. But a bit of praise to end the critique, he did a nice job of keeping the wire labels straight. I hope you don't take this too hard, and use it as constructive learning ideas. I would be happy to share other information if you want it, like photos, and a workshop manual that I wrote. Let me know.

Hey @David Bailey - I would love to be able to have a look at the worshop manual you wrote that you mentioned in your comment - I am an electrician and would be very interested to see what other knowledge you have to offer as your insights here were truly interesting and your suggestions were spot on.
