Control points and control companies giving bad service

It is important for control companies to give their customers all of the support they need and not simply move along to the next sale. I recently spoke with someone who had completely pulled out a system to move to another company due to bad service and not getting their questions answered.

Great video! Just starting to learn metasys and BACnet, after working with KNX until now. Is there a standard admin user and password for logging in with admin rights, to change the points that are locked?

As an "end user" have had both tridium companies and JCI do this to me! Very frustrating! And that local control thing is really confusing, one of the things I am wrestling with on my NCM25 to NAE25 side project!!! I guess in my case the local control means only the DX9100 can make changes to the point???)

That's correct but easy to change as I show in this video. What's some of the issues you have?

It looks like you had a lazy or inexperienced technician that replaced a VMA1420 with a next gen controller and just used the PRN file that was generated by CCT to map points. The FECs are also notorious for this. I ain’t complaining, the local branch keeps me busy with their goof ups. The hack is embarrassing, but in the end will hurt and may help customers if just the right data is leaked. The internal memos may answer some questions or concerns. Customers may gain insight on some of the repair services they have paid for that were not needed. The customers love when the upgrades break other things that were functioning correctly prior to the “upgrade”. I’m sure the die-hard employees can attest to this.

This was just an example I used. I keep hearing things from companies and wanted to talk about it. It would be better if institutions had a tech on staff who knows how this stuff works
