Hi, I have a repaired NAE55 that Johnson Controls sent me. I'm wondering if it is possible to configure the NAE without the help of a Johnson Controls technician. I only have the NAE with the MAC address, and I don't have the IP address for this device. It was likely reflashed during the repair.

how do you change a hardware input to a network input?

With the new engines did they fix the issue when pulling points in the other way? I run a Tridium network, and in the past when I integrated a NAE or NCE it would never give you the actual point names, they came in basically as the object number (so for isntance DAT would come in as AI_2304 or some other nonsense).

We are sitting at a point right now deciding to add our new Phoenix PCI to our existing ADS or the new ADX we just got. This is a great help.

Howdy, I take the SCT archive and upgrade the database, then download to the SNE at my desk. Must do both partitions 15 minutes apart. Then all you have to do is delete from serve, hot swap, and pair!

Have you received any SNE's running firmware 13.0.1.100? I just received one and could not get the resource files to access the device from JCI's website. My rep said he would get me the files, but, he told me I can use the UI to access it directly. After sniffing out the IP address, I put my laptop on the same network, opened my browser, and typed HTTPS://(IP address)/UI. I was then prompted to put in the username and password. Once I accessed it, I first added my login credentials, then changed the DHCP IP settings to Static and put the device into my network. I rebooted and logged back in and changed the name of the device. Again I rebooted. I am currently waiting for my server software to be updated from version 12 to version 14. Once that is complete, I will demote the device and discover it into MUI. Hopefully all goes well, since I have never done it with this UI before. I need version 14 to upgrade my data base for the old NAE to an SNE firmware version 13. Let me know if you have had any experiences with this yet.

Pretty good description of the horrors on working on a old truck, I have worked in auto body for 45 years and could complete any mechanical work, but at 77 i had to get my nephew to loosen that alternator bolt and nut last night, I think your socket number is wrong as Japanese cars like 10, 12 and 14 mm and German cars like 13mm. good effort on your video though.

Great video! I’m having an issue where I can discover the NAE from the JACE, but my NAE doesn’t see the JACE. BACnet routing is enabled on the NAE. Could you possibly show a screenshot of the configuration setup for the JACE? I’m particularly interested in the IP network ID and device ID settings to ensure the JACE can communicate with the NAE. I have created an export table and pulled the points into Metasys. We are having an issue where the Jace is refresh the data accurately but it’s lagging on the Metasys server. How do I get Metasys to refresh as fast as the Jace? Also thanks for the video.
