What I love about your content as someone trying to be a better player is your experimentation. It helps me not chase wonderful Christmas land ideas of if x meets y meets z then this is amazing . I didn’t have a magic community to grow up in just flea market collecting so play the same deck all the time I’ll tune in I just appreciate the learning .

I cut the farmhands and replaced them with Sanctuary Warden and cut 1 depopulate and a 1 raffine reformant and added loran of the thrid path and the deck has been performing much better. Before the changes I kept having these games where I would cast atraxa multiple times in a game but they kept having spot removal for it so I struggled closing games. After the changes ive found it easeir to close games because the Sanctuary Wardens are really difficult to remove and any game where I got to untap with one I generally won. Especially if i got to untap with both Atraxa and Warden. Loran has been great to in answering many of the artifacts and the saga enchantments. There have been a few games where Invoking Loran destryong a saga or portal then making it a 6/5 helped closed games. What I love more is that CGB shows these games for everyone, including the damn developers, to see...showing that they too are subjected to the bullshit that is the Arena algorithm.

I've got a build of atraxa that fairs well against mono red as well as against the deck in the video. I call it sultai white. Im using the green saga that lets you play an additional land . Expand the sphere and titania command in order to ramp into atraxa alot of the time turn five . Titania command excels in this meta. Ramping you into two of any lands in your library which can translate to an extra two life via medic tap lands and gaining life off the exile effect which is great against the reanimate atraxa decks running around. I'll have to grab the list and post it here once I get done driving

I like the deck idea it gave me more ideas for how to bring atraxa to the field. This deck seems to have difficulty dealing with aggro it also relies on a combo where atraxa can ONLY be played with invokeZ so Atraxa really has very little synergy with the deck. Maybe if there were other ways to bring her out say gixs command etc and also other big creatures worth bringing out I think it would be more cohesive

The game against mono red where you slammed Jace against the infantry, you were supposed to hold up wandering emperor. At 8 life with them on 3 mana there are a few plays they have where you just straight up die. You needed to keep the infantry back with the emperor because in that spot Jace is actively bad. In fact against mono red Jace is almost always actively bad. 🤷‍♂️

CGB Has been getting the same 50-70 thousand view count average for the last 2 years. If anything, the eldraine zendikar standard and yorion days had more 100k+ flareups along with a bit from strixhavens release. I would not say his channel has been undergoing any considerable expansion. His video quality has been improving steadily, sure, and he has since made new channels, but its nothing to comment about being out of the blue.

I feel like these type of decks are meant for bo3. You need to have very specific answers in certain MUs, so sideboarding is essencial for its success and playing BO1 increases the deck inconsistency

Reanimator is generally better in bo1 for the specific reason that people don't just sideboard stuff that absolutely demolishes your graveyard.

On the subject of best shell for re-animator I just think if you compare this deck to popular re-animator lists is more powerful formats like historic they run more ways to re-animate & more re-animation targets. 3 is very low for this kind of deck, it requires you to see too many cards. I'd say something like 7-8 targets and almost as many re-animation spells makes these decks run well.

Temporary Lockdown is a great card vs all the aggro, takes their Kumanos and Skrelv Hives too. And possible bankbusters and treasure and blood tokens etc. Jace not that good here imo, and probably too many small creatures as well. I already find 4 Informants too much sometimes. The Atraxa pulls seemed weak in general. I've seen a better version of this kind of thing, "UW Reanimator Lite" it could be called I guess. My favorite reanimator deck is the "heavy" Azorius one though. Invoke, Repair, Portal, Multiverse, one of World Spell, couple of counterspell. Big fireworks. Somehow even with all the top end, it generally doesn't feel bad vs monored.
