question concerning 5;46 time stamp you say both are first order but by using a ramp function of 1/s^2 doesn't that make it second order

​@@zahraddeenabdullahi5899 We mean 1st order ODE (only 1st derivative present). System response is characterized by the number of energy storing elements (a mass with a damper is first order; mass-spring-damper is 2nd). The confusion comes when we apply different inputs (1/s^2) but recall that 1/s in laplace domain is also integration in the time domain. There can be no 2nd derivative that makes this higher order. Thus the response remains 1st order.
