Hello Senthil Yes, It should be the same calculation. However, you need to change specific gravity of fluid for different fluids.

suppose a valve have 12.91 but cv 12 ur taken and overflow is more than 12.91 then how it helpful to controlling the valve

I would not have chosen the maximum flow valve Cv=12, if there is no other specification, the valve will not have sufficient capacity for the application.

Sqrt of 100 is 10 . So 200/10 is equal to 20

Valve providers let you use Cv charts o data base. In addition mosto of them let you use theri sizing software on line or let you download the sizing software
