Cool and very practical system! But it seems like if someone changes the temperature or any settings on the working AC manually it may loose the reading synchrony, assuming that the mobile device app relies on the default setting values when the AC is plugged on the power outlet because of the lack of a transmitting status system from the AC side. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Great video though!.

Rodrigo Santos the current configuration is a one way device, just like an actual remote, it has no idea what the device is doing. Just that it's broadcasting a change.

He guys, I was wondering, how does your system recognise the IR protocol of the control you are syncing it with? Because protocols vary depending on the brand and the kind of divice, plus the controlers have different ways of encoding the commands.

most controllers do use a brand list but Arduino lets you use any remote.
