I just wanted to thank you for the video of fixing the un opening door of the Monaco! I saw it almost by accident but it caught my eye because I was probably 3 or 4 openings away from not opening based on how it felt! I was able to repair it following your instructions and it now works PERFECTLY!! Ours is a 2003 Monaco Windsor 40’ and we are newbies. I love your content. Thank you again!

Thanks 2d cst that didnt get the install, leading u2 TAPE the install on the 2nd best RV ever made. I was thinking if u ever did anything with a Magnum inverter (and God heard my plight). Thanks! It was very informative & answering questions just as I was formulating them in my head. Good work! Now I gotta research if that Magnum MR 2812 of yours is what I need to replace my faulting old 2005 ME 2012. I very much appreciate ur videos & insights. Thanks again.

Just brought home a 24 sunseeker for pops. Advertised with AGS. It's like 1 button. No one at the dealer knows how to work it. They gave us a printout for some air stream AGS system that apparently has more than just a button. The tech guy doing the walk through instructions with us knew less about the coach than we did. He described it as when your batteries get low, it "super charges" the house batteries. I couldn't help but sit there and stare at him dumbfounded. I asked him to demonstrate it, but he said he couldn't because since it was a new coach, the batteries weren't low enough. I have so far not found anything to describe how to turn AGS on, or what it will specifically do on this coach.

Thank you for a great video. I have an older Xantrex RV2512 that has been throwing charge errors when the generator and the alternator are both supplying power to inverter/charger to recharge the house batteries. (Mostly on the road with the genny running for the AC units.) The troubleshooting manual states its an internal error and to call Xantrex. i.e. replace the unit. No reason to replace a unit with a no longer supporting unit so I was on the fence choosing a Xanrex Freedom SW RVC or the Mangum. I already have AGS on the old Xantrex and really didn't want to give up that feature, but was concerned with the complexity of adding the Mangum AGS. Your video showed that it is a easy install as long as you keep it organized.

excellent episode. Glad to see you get back to basics. I prefer to see improvements and maintenance to coach reviews but that's just me. Seems you could also set the temp to start the gen 2-3 degrees lower than the AC thermostat. That would give it time to get started and running before the ac would kick on.

Fun fact- You could use that old cut off harness from the generator for an ALDL adapter for an early 90's Lotus Esprit!

I've looked into the bluetooth option, but Magnum doesn't support it. It needs a bridge module for RV canbus, and then an OEM spider/firefly system interface to have a bluetooth communicator which is 3 steps too many. The strange thing is Sensata owns magnum and near field wireless communatication is kind of their thing
@keithrichards72969 ай бұрын
Go figure relative to auto industry, need so much extra crap&$$$$ to accomplish simple task made by same manufacturer. But my father's 2006 safari trek he did lithium upgrade with solar and magnum sine wave inverter (mother's health equipment) but he does have app to monitor voltage input and draw battle born batteries , figured if that monitors may just need a sense wire to start generator.

Omg! Game changer. I went out and looked at my 2003 Patriot Thunder and found I have Trace RC7-GS. And a Zantrex 2512M inverter. I looked at this when I first got the coach 2 years ago. But I have been a little overwhelmed by all the other systems. I tried to look for the ME-AGS-N Or equivalent and cannot find anything. I am assuming it might not have the ability as yet. Would the Magnum module you installed work with my trace unit or will I need a universal?

Our 2023 KW29 Class C actually came equipped with a Magnum AGS. It didn’t come equipped with an inverter, so our AGS doesn’t tie into a digital display. Ours has small switches to set the parameters you mentioned, including interior temperature. It’s a nice feature for us since we travel with our pet. I’ve had the grid go down at a couple of campgrounds, and an RV gets warm quickly in Florida. I hope you now charge for parts before ordering. At least you were able to enhance the best RV ever made!
@AZExpert9 ай бұрын
That's interesting, sounds like you have a ME-AGS-S with the dials. It also has temperature auto start feature
@2manytoyz1239 ай бұрын
@@AZExpert Exactly right. It’s the ME-AGS-S model. The controller has “Standalone Version” stenciled on it. I would much prefer a digital display for adjusting the settings, but this does work. Might be a good option for other potential customers wanting an AGS but lack the extra components you have. FWIW, my generator is an Onan 4KW. Pretty basic model.

Awesome! Someday I hope to have something that nice! I have a young family and a cheap trailer I don’t plan on staying in for long. My trailer doesn’t even charge the battery when you plug it into shore power. I have to bring a battery charger with me. I also have a 2000W harbor freight generator. I was wondering if there is any universal kit you can add that would give you out those low battery features for a portable generator. Currently my gen is not remote start, obviously I would need that feature. But anything I do I want to be removable to switch to what ever my next trailer ends up being. Do you have any recommendations for something like that?
