Did all steps for the biult in section but you end it before saying what to do on my phone to control it. ...... Ok, i remembered doing something similar a while ago and figured it out. For those who are confused - once you do what says in the video, go to settings in the youtube tv site and go to something like add a devicve with a tv code and then go in your phones youtube app and toward the top womehere should be a wifi looking symbol, tap that and it;ll give you the option to connect via a tv code. put in the code that shows up on your tv in your phone. that should do it.

Can confirm this still works. I did it using the Chrome extension. Now I no longer need to alt-tab out of my games that can't implement border-less windows correctly. I did have to replace the * with the url a second time, as well as deactivate and re-activate the user string using the little black check mark under "State".

@@russisdope not sure what you mean by which one but I am using the Custom UserAgent String addon for chrome if that helps. I also set it to Android Browser Android, top Mozilla option, had to re-do the * bit more than once. It isn't the best experience but it does work. Hope that helps!

i really hate that i dont understand what you mean in the first one you never say how to control it from my phone and i dont see any thing connected between my phone and my pc so i dont get how you would want me to control this from my phone when ive never connected it before

The mentioned extension didn't work for me. But there's a much better one called "User Agent Switcher and Manager" That one did the trick! Thanks for the direction though! That's exactly what I needed.

On Spotify you can control playback from any network you want. I would like to watch screen on mobile but control it in my computer while I work. This only works other way around.

As a 70-year old widower, I cannot get back on youtube in order to watch Hallmark movies or old music videos. I don't understand internet or computer technology. I live in mountain and canyon country and have to drive 8 miles to get full reception on my flip phone. I don't know what android, i phone or channel means. I got a block on my youtube. Do I just give up all youtube viewing? And now Amazon won't let me order without getting a smart phone. And I live 2 driving hours from a big city of 32,000 where costco or Walmart is and in another state. What can I do?

Thanks for this, just a couple of follow-up Qs if you could please (Built-in method); the tab on Chrome keeps losing the 'ability' to be connected to, sort of need to 're-apply' the setting and retry phone until it decides to work again - is there a way to avoid this happening? Secondly, with this working, it makes me think there may be a similar way of fiddling with it into working for more than just YT and turning a page into a true 'airplay' device (Screen Mirroring) for phone - is that possible, do you know?

It works but most videos have a cap of 720p when it comes to quality, other ones have the option for 1080p or more, i can't seem to fix this issue. I am trying to use it on my projector with 100" size screen and 1080p is already just above watchable, 720p simply won't work with that big of a screen.

​@@Criiies It also works in 4K, but there is a catch: in the browser, look at the video on a regular KZbin page and select 4K. Then go back to KZbin TV and play any video that has a 4K format and it will work.

It is important that the last video you watched on KZbin was manually set to 4K. Then there are no such problems.
