striped, the issue with this video is the fact that the players are the same rank, so you're just getting players that are the same. the issue is how much easier it is to achieve high ranks with controller. the extra controls it gives and faster response with more consistency is why it helps.

Considering most console games allow keyboard and mouse ,which are so much easier once you get used to it, it doesn't rally matter the prefrence but being a phone app, using a controller on it really defeats the purpose of it being a phone app. Using a controller makes it more of an xbox indie game than a phone app. Haven't played the app game btw.

I think the main advantage controller has is stall resets. I think everyone agrees it is much easier on controller. The thing is though this doesn’t necessarily translate into a big advantage, it only really becomes noticeable in super high champ/GC - even in these games though it didn’t seem like any stall resets played a big part in it. I am a touch player and recently swapped to playing 2 fingers + thumb (instead of 2 thumbs) and this has massively improved my game. I’m getting pretty good at stall resets now and I think touch players can be on par even at stall resets, it just isn’t as easy to pick up and will require way more muscle memory. Will be interesting to see where it is in a year or so.

Disagree. Because a controller player on Sideswipe at Diamond 1, wouldn't actually even be that rank without using the controller, since it takes far less skill. Therefore touch players at D1 are better than controller players at D1, even though they're in the same rank.

Touch players need a button to flip car upside down. This would help so much with flip resets and stalling. I've lost numerous games because you have to double tap and when I want to flip car twice to the other side it messes it up and doesnt register it correctly. WE NEED THIS BUTTON! Edit: also they should add the button or at least an option, to be able to add a button to air roll instead of double tap the joystick. Having all the necessary buttons and the option to add them would be necessary to make the playing field more even.

I was waiting for a similar comment, like touch screen is like the way it is designed so using a controller is not that "oh touch players are better" it's "bruh why are you sweating using a controller in a mobile game" where its not very fair not made for controller. If you're the same rank if both using touch then the controller plug in will give you an advantage and you will therefore become higher ranked/better player so like this vid doesn't prove anything about what's better as they're the same rank ie it's probs a bronze vs gold if both on touch but becomes gold vs gold if bronze is using controller, secondly like you are putting words in people's mouths like if you put two people against each other that are the same rank in touch but one uses a controller well and then that player for the challenge uses a controller then it would be probably shown controller is superior and then I would say fair enough (the whole point of this comment is like compare if using controller => higher rank in general ie sample the population of all touch players (normal population/general population) see average rank then intervene by making them use controller and see if after a certain time period they have a higher rank in general)

To take their version of rocket league away by using controllers is nothing different from using an emulator in PUBG mobile. Any emulator player is a menace to the gaming community.
