Can a normal Led strip be converted into a fire effect? how I can upload the code into a duino driver? or if there is a cheper alternative?

At 4:38 in the video, you show 10 leds running back and forth like a scanner. I copied the code in that screen in to my Arduino IDE. I have FastLED as a library, and use the examples quite a bit. However when I went to verify the code I copied over from this screen. I get an error saying "LED was not declared in the scope. (along line 10). I would love know how to fix this error so I can run 10 Ws2812B leds in a sweeping pattern like this from left to right. Thank you for your help.

In the Arduino IDE, go to File --> Preferences. Make sure you check the box Verify code after upload. This gives comprehensive compiler warning/errors. This might help in determining why you get out of scope error! I hope this helps.
