I've got a sneaking feeling Fender commissioned this video so that THEY could finally find out what the hell all the switches on this guitar actually do.

Theres not enough change? Maybe low volume but seems same with some switches on or off. I like the japanese one that stayed to or better than the originals. Saw 96 Japanese jaguar with tight neck fitted and Mexico jazzmaster that you could use as a pick slot! Are the 96 all red candy flake matching headstock basswood? Just read that changed at a certain year to alder? Is this true for mij 96? Anyone know be good to get idea if is alder or basswood

@j77 i know what it does. Hearing a giant change from the low pass filter on the bottom hexagonal chrome and button furthest from the neck. Not big change. Maybe MORE VOLUME ILL NOTICE IT ALOT MORE. Remember son 2nd hole from back of the neck!

For proper setup keep in mind Leo had Arch-tops on the brain. Take a side view of the string profile from the bridge to the neck. It is like an arch-top. The bridge saddle must be raised high enough to allow for proper tension to keep the strings in the saddles. To compensate for the raised action after raising the bridge saddle use neck shims. Also, the bridge is meant to move when you use the Tremolo. It will stay in tune much better once you set up the Jaguar as described. These guitars are designed well, play great but a lot of the time people say they don’t play great......because of improper setup. Plain and simple. Set it up right and you will love your Jaguar. The kitty cat will purr for you.
@billydotleeds2 жыл бұрын
0.11 flat wound strings (D'Addario) solved tension and bridge saddle wobbles for me! Why would you want the bridge to move? They put the Mustang bridge in the because it doesn't move!
@itspaddyd Жыл бұрын
@@billydotleeds The mustang bridge does move, just modern fender guitars come with plastic inserts so you can have it static as well if you want. The idea is that the bridge moves so that the strings don't slide over the saddles when the vibrato is used, meaning the system overall relies less on strings moving through the bridge saddles smoothly (which is made harder by the increased bridge tension brought in by proper setup as described by @johnstitt2615)
