Controversial? Griezmann is on the same defenders line, and lacazette marginally interfere with the action.

To be fair, the argument that the France striker was interfering with play isn't completely bogus. Watch the replay at 3:22. The France striker seems to motion for the ball for a split second before realizing that he's offside, and it's enough to make the Ecuadorean defenders hesitate, giving Griezmann lots of time to score. It would have been harsh, but it could have been called. I still agree with everyone else that the goal deserved to stand, but Ecuador did have a (somewhat) legit argument

Just because there was an attacking player in an offside position and the defenders don't play because they think he's the one thats gonna play the ball doesn't mean another attacking player cant make a play on that ball. Silly FIFA, that's not controversial at all.
