CONTROVERSIAL!!! Star Wars The Vintage Collection hasn’t always been a step in the right direction…

Most of the best freighter pilots…errr…action figures are to be found in Hasbro’s The Vintage Collection. But every once in a while a stinker makes its way into this otherwise amazing toy line. Check out my list of 10 such figures, and an additional few who almost made the list.

Dagobah Luke looks ridiculous, but C-3PO is wrong on so many levels.

Some good pics NSC 👍 For me, the ESB C3PO is the worst offender. Everything about that figure is wrong. Im surprised you didnt mention the Han Solo vc281. Essentially its a updated vc62 without the trench coat. But the torso cut makes the figure look too wide and unnatural, the legs are too short and skinny. The only plus is the updated head sculpt IMO

I still like this Han Endor better than the previous one, but it is not without its faults. Personally I feel they should retire torso cuts unless something about their costume makes it seem natural like Stormtroopers and Mandalorians.

That Astromech mold Must Go! We've had far too many decently painted figures ruined by it, and not only that it is the biggest downgrade to astromechs since they added play features to them. Just bring back the Power of the Force 2/Jedi/Saga mold with the super articulation clicking heads and NO play features! The build a droid mold was an improvement on all the play feature induced ones but to take 20 leaps back beyond the head spinning gimmick from ROTS onwards is nuts

Glad we got the new TVC clone trooper mold because it looks so good, especially with the new helmet head instead of the slip on helmet.

Those elbow swivels are still baffling to this day I remember getting the revenge of the Sith figures as they were coming out, opening them up just tickled pink to by star wars toys but being disappointed at the same time!

So true! Sometimes the swivel offered a little range of motion, but a lot of times it was just unnatural looking and useless.

I hate the TVC clone trooper, C-3PO and the R2-D2 the most from your list. The gunner was pretty bad too. I didn’t bother to pick him up because the saga ones look way better. I didn’t realize Tessek had so many issues till you pointed it out. I never had any of the previous releases of him.

I hate how short Boush Leia is. It may be accurate but it’s super annoying how everyone towers over her.

No lies detected! The Tessek and Endor Luke are definitely two of the most frustrating ones for me as well! If you haven’t already, get a few Luke VC264’s and head swap for Luke without the helmet. I don’t have VC298’s but I assume his head is the same. Still frustrating though

Agree with all of these, especially the Threepio. I just got the new TC-14 from disney (first time getting a figure with that mold) and it crushes any Hasbro version of a protocol droid.

3po was on my list too. Those panels just don't stay on and if you manage it, they still have gaping seem lines. I'm really sad about the tessek figure. I don't have that pack but I was hoping for so much better. Who are you? Someone that's holding a thermal detonator. That made me laugh. Do you have a video on how you made your fozec figure.

There is no At-At driver in the vintage collection.

The AT-AT driver hasn’t been released as a single carded figure in the Vintage Collection, but he did have a Vintage Collection release in two different TVC “Special Action Figure Set: Imperial Set” 3-packs.
