I loved this one! I felt this was a very empowering tale because the lead character is happy living her life without the societal pressures that come with being a woman within that particular stage of life. She has found her own pride and purpose and meaning. I got the pink cover but I loved the different colours ❤

I remember the talk about it and so when I saw it in a charity shop - well I just had to. I found her quite endearing in a way

I love that book. I got in just becauae I wantwd a new japanese book to read. Tgere was no discution online jet but later on everyone was reading. Love how you sumarised it.

Hi Milly - I have to say this book really jarred with me. Would love to hear what you think of Checkout 19 by Claire-Louise Bennett - a similar theme but far superior novel in my opinion.
