Depending on the building's layout. A detector should not be more than 6m from any wall or obstruction, and no more than 12m from another detector.

Some detectors don't come with the positive and negative terminal names some are numbers, can you tell us how the connections are made with such detectors.

The detectors that aren’t marked are not polarity sensitive, as long as your negatives and positives line up it will work wired either way

As the name suggests EOLR should be installed at the end of a security loop. In most cases, EOLR can be only installed at the end. That is because if it's not, the effectiveness of resistor is lost.

End off the line because there is no return that why he used the resistors. its data in and out or 24 volts in and out if they should add more devices the resistor would taken out and extra wiring to another device and add the resistor to the last one again with an address so the panel could respond to the issue semoke or pull station

Sounds like a bad connection for a specific device, look at the report it will tell you which device this is and check the wiring
