Yolanda, well said - I love your emphasis on women's power, agency, decision making and self determination. Lovely discussion and interaction.

To share your hair story can be a challenge because a lot of the trauma is deep and started with our beloved matriarchs. To express our worry when we choose our last hair style sisterlocks and to realise our scalp is allergic to its' retightnening and its' locs care pratice and to articulate our joy in practicing Knotted Locs and how it translate our heads is KNot the easiest, that is because our knotting practice is feeling based. To find the right words isn't easy. I commend you Yolanda at such an early stage of practicing Knotted Locs to share on this divinely chosen platform allowing Sis Tunisia to interview you is such a special gift you share with our community. Sis Tunisia is right it gets better and better responding to what each loc needs. Our Ancestors are clapping & dancing for us, 'Thank God we are free at last!' As always Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Sis Tunisia you are wonderfully made.

For my last retie two weeks ago, it was the most painful retie maintenance I have ever had in my loc life. I've had three separate sets of traditional locs over 20 years. This is my first set of sisterlocks. I've loss two sisterlocs within the last 6 months. I gotta combine and stop reties. Loc knots are intriguing.

I love this content. She’s right we never saw a representation on how we actually are supposed to respond to how we are supposed to support are authentic hair. Your hair looks alive. I totally attracted to the life I see in your hair. It’s actually speaking to my hair. I can hear “my hair is in crisis”.

Thanks for this video. I just received my oils to help with my follicles and scalp. I’m very concerned about my thinning crown and looking for ways to combat it, and considering knotting.
