Every 7 wks for me. Tried holding out an extra week but the new growth was too much to control. Love doing my own locks because I do not like my hair being pulled or tugged. And I don’t like the feeling of tightness.

I stopped coloring my hair a couple years ago and noticed a lot less shedding at the ends. The red looks great on you! 💮

I don't have color nor do I keep my ends open and some of my ends look like this... I've had my sister locs for 3 1/2 years now.

I wished for open ends when i first got my locks installed and put conditioner on them to keep them open ( I know 😂) but 5 years on they have mostly stayed open and i love them. I dye too but only ever black and just on the roots to cover grey. No issues so far buti heed the warning. Thank you sis x

I wish I could have my locs look just like yours as far as the size but it’s too expensive and every time I’ve tried to do them myself they’re not completely even 😢

The curls are nice when the locs are shorter. Frames the face and shoulders. Cute. But past sholders, doesn't make sense to keep the ends open, Imho.

I locked my hair a while back I combed it out because i wasn’t putting the time in i needed and my roots married each other 🤦🏾‍♀️ so i took them down. About a month ago i put in a fresh set and now have time to put in for my hair to interloc it so i am enjoying myself now. I have never used weave, but i have used relaxers and color rinses in my hair.

I’ve had my sister locs for just over a yr and a half. My stylist would like me to come every 6 weeks. This is the first time I have been 9 weeks. My hair has always been fine and I have some tinder spots. Since, I’m past 6 weeks my stylist is charging me an extra 10 an hr. It usually, takes her 2hrs or 2.5. I know it’s probably going to take her longer so I was prepared for that. She never stated if I don’t come in every 6 weeks she would do an up charge per hr.

Dear Sister, thanks you for all of your teaching. I truly wish I had known about Sis Loc and Micro Loc 40 years ago. I personally love the freedom . I get so many compliments I can’t even tell you how much. Hair is the last thing I’m concerned about. I feel I’m connect more spiritually. Being my authentic self. I have learned so much from you . Learned this the hard way. Stopped that mess and now my locs aren’t breaking off anymore.

It has transformed me for the better. I’ve learned to truly accept my natural beauty and gained even more confidence. I can’t ever remember being so in love and proud of my hair.
