As someone who is from a rural community AND is part of the LGBTQ community, I adore how Dan and Eugene and the writers wrote the people of Schitt’s Creek. The people who live around me & my partner at the farm and in town have been so kind and accepting. They may not entirely understand everything (think Patrick’s parents with David’s wardrobe), but they accept and love you as you are. It’s so lovely to see the small town being written that way. Thank you all. ❤️

I loved hearing Dan’s justification for not even allowing the anti LGBTQ side to have ANY voice-I’ll admit I was expecting it. That was a stroke of genius! What a better world it COULD be! What a different world it WOULD be! Only found out about it in the spring, watched 3 seasons back then, and picked it up three weeks ago, binge-watching every day. Finished earlier this week. I loved watching my 68 yr old husband of 46 years chuckle thru it all.

I’ve never liked a show as much as Schitt’s Creek. I’ve never felt as safe as when I’m in its world. I’ve never known love as free to grow as when I’m watching it. It’s not been an easy few months for any of us, but knowing that it will always be there for us makes everything ok. Thanks to Dan, Eugene and all the cast, crew and writers for creating this perfect gem of a show that has shown us how beautiful the world could be. We will forever be indebted to them for the joy they have given us in 22 minute segments and I wish them nothing but the best of luck with all future endeavours. The decision to make Schitt’s Creek a homophobia and bigotry free zone was a huge paradigm shift. It modelled how beautiful it would be to live in a place where David’s Pansexuality, Patrick being Gay, Ronnie being a Lesbian and Jake being Bi/Poly/Hedonistic are what they are and didn’t need an anxiety ridden episode where it was discussed and then accepted. Dan will never truly understand what he has given us or how much this beautiful creation has meant to us. There are no words that can convey our gratitude

OMG! This is “exactly” how I feel but didn’t know how to put it into words: It took me a while before I got interested in watching the show, but once I watched the first two episodes, I-was hooked. 💕👍🏻

I agree wholeheartedly with his decision to have Alexis and Ted break up in the middle of the season as opposed to in the finale episode, and hearing his thought process behind why he chose this was so enlightening. It just made everything come into focus for me. It's so true that having it happen in the middle of the season meant that I felt like it wasn't a spur of the moment decision thrown in by the writers for a gasp. And being able to see Alexis work through the heartbreak and pain and have her end the show in a better place emotionally was so meaningful.

I long for the day when sexual preference is a non-issue. This show was so refreshing for this reason. And the outfits really paid off. Schitt's Creek is special for the feel that was imparted over time. They brought authenticity to the characters, and it did feel human and real.

Loved this show, and these two. David and Partick's relationship was one of the most beautiful portrayed on a TV drama. Alexis, on Annie Murphy's hands, was a true joy. It was great how, unlike so many woke TV shows these days, they did not impose the characters' sexuality on the viewers; no shoving it in our faces. They were firstly characters, just people, who they chose to sleep with became secondary. Beautiful.

Thank you Thank You to the entire cast of Schitt's Creek making my husband and I laugh out loud over and over as we watched this diamond in the rough show! I started watching only for the last couple of months after missing all the fun while it was on. But, after all the great things I heard about it and the fantastice cast, I had to check it out. One episode and we were hooked....very hooked! Each character stood on their own handling any scene with ease and grace as if they were born to do their role. Eugene Levy is an icon and so is Dan Levy for sure already! In that I am new to this show but so in love with it, the fact that it ended after 6 seasons makes me really sad but I will be watching the 6th season. Annie Murphy is my new hero...so genuine while hilariously transparent at the same time. I could go on and on about each and every single character. I have to say after hearing this interview, I am really touched by the sincerity and conviction Dan Levy has about the show and his insight into small town life and those that live in those towns. Dan, it was very refreshing to hear you say that you didn't even want to show the side of bigotry...they don't even need to be on camera. This world could sure use your viewpoint. You have a big heart. Dan, having never seen you on TV, I have to say that you have spread so much laughter into our home it is crazy and your comedy, as well as your heartfelt moments, are beyone talent. This show is truly such a kind show and really plays out what is important in life. All of you get a standing ovation from us here in Athens, Tennessee!

I marathoned the whole thing in a couple days. I almost quit early on because I was getting frustrated by the Rose's constant putting face before their immediate goals... but I powered on and later came to feel that this is how all the people of Shitt's Creek felt :) Especially when we had Stevie in the background eating it up, even letting a "wow" out, then I felt in on it... I watch a lot of TV marathon style, especially lately; and this is one of my favorite experiences ever.. I cried a lot, paused a lot when Alexis entered a scene (WOW), and contemplated myself a lot. I want to share it with everyone. It took me forever to start... my impression before seeing it was it is just a silly comedy, so I would watch all the historical fiction monarchy shows on Netflix, or rewatch DS9 for the 11th time. I am glad I watched it when I did and very very very happy it ended without pissing me off. I love this so much and I am positive this will be something people watch for the next 100 years or more. After watching the documentary, I am so happy the cast and crew feel the love reflected back on them because they deserve all of it. I'm crying again :)

All we fans can hope for is Netflix tosses God level money at the Levy's to do more seasons. This is by far the greatest comedy show of this era. David, Patrick and Stevie could helm a show easily for 5-6 seasons. The Patrick/David relationship has so much more story left to tell. Alexis could easily helm her own show. They could create two spin offs of this show that could easily be hits. Dan Levy is so talented and the cast was so great. Noah Reid as Patrick was wonderful casting and he brought a tenderness to the show that wasn't there before he came on. I haven't had a show impact me like this since Six Feet Under. I think they both impact but in totally different ways. I also love the fact that the gay characters are not tortured, pained, and self destructive on the show. Im glad the show doesn't deal with homophobia and that the town just accepts different people without question. It's like a little utopia.
