Synopsis
A MOST VIOLENT YEAR is a searingcrime drama set in New York City during the winter of 1981, statistically themost dangerous year in the city’s history. I love that when Bardem pulled out ( director/actor mismatch), Jessica wrote to JC saying Oscar would be perfect, as she knew him from Juliard! They look amazing together and the film is fantastic!

This is a super late response, but according to Isaac and Chastain’s Backstage interview from 2 months ago (about 48 mins in), the guy in Oscar Isaac’s audition was Josh Brolin. Apparently it’s now one of Brolin’s most embarrassing moments but they laugh about it now
